Chapter 1

My head was pounding hard against my temples. The sun shone through the crack of my curtain. I was back living with my parents ever since I found out my fiancé was cheating on me.

HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO BLIND??!! Those pictures of exquisite women on his laptop as screensavers, how close he was to our always-braless-neighbour-with-legs-so-perfect. Arrgh!! I massaged my temples as I recalled the past week.

It was a heck of a week, I was in line for a promotion, well, I thought I was, I was working my ass off only to find out the girl with the nice rack got it. If I knew they favored big tits, I could have gotten a boob job, too. So, to make the story short, I lost my dream job coz I resigned, got home after 5 shots of tequila from the local bar, and found my fiancé butt naked in the bath with our neighbour.

Talk about adding insult to injury. It didnt sink in since I was half wits with alcohol in my system. I just took the biggest bag I could find under our bed, and tried not to make a sound as I packed anything I could grab from the wardrobe and went straight to my parents house. I cant stay there since his name was on the lease.

Mom didnt even asked when she answered the door with me reeking of alcohol since I stopped by the local bar and got 5 more shots of tequila.

So here I am, 5 days later. In my bedroom. I got up from my bed and looked at myself in my bathroom mirror. I looked grubby. "I woke up like this." I said to myself as I half smiled. I swept up my brown wavy hair into a bun and washed my face. My pale skin got cool at the touch of water.

I went down our breakfast nook. Mom was there preparing breakfast as I kissed her cheek. "Goodmorning, Mom." "Goodmorning, sweetie." She smiled as I kissed her.

I sat across her as I watched her prepare our food. Fine lines etched her skin yet it did not falter her beauty. She could pass off as those women in 1920's with her regal allure. She's a pediatric nurse here at a local hospital.

She eyed me as I fiddled with my engagement ring. "Hunny, Matt has been calling you and was asking if when you'll be returning to his apartment."

I changed the subject, "How much would I get if pawned my engagement ring?"

"What do you mean? Did he break the engagement off?" she asked as she flips the pancake I've been oggling on. "Well mum, I just found out that my fiancé for 2 years was cheating on me. caught him fooling around with our neighbor." I sighed.

She was not shoked by the news. "Well, you should have known better. He's always at the gym with those guy friends of his, and nobody puts in so much effort in toning their body only to be with one girl" She said matter-of-factly as she placed the pancake on my plate.

"So you knew and you didn't tell me?" I asked midchew. "Yes hunny, I'm so sorry." She said as she squeezed my free hand. "It's ok mum. I should talk to him though. He's been so good to me." I replied. She just nodded as she carried on flipping pancakes.

"Who's been good to you?" Dad asked as he approached us at the table. "Matt." I said flat toned.

"You mean that little faggot?!" He asked through his scruffy moustache. "Dad knew too?" I asked mom.

"Im sorry, sweetheart." Dad said to me. "Its ok dad, I'm better off." I smiled assuringly. I lifted my plate and put it on the sink. "Thanks mum,
I missed your pancakes." I kissed her again then kissed dad as I exited the ktichen.

I showered as soon as I got into my room. I stayed there for an hour just enjoying the water.

I wiped the misted window and looked at my reflection. Maybe I should get a haircut? I thought to myself. I let my hair down and tamed the waves with my hand.

I got out of my bath and changed into my usual tee and jogger pants. I have to go for a run, to clear my mind. "Mom I'm gonna go for a run!" I shouted as I reached for the front door. "Hunny could you be a sweet and pick out flour and milk for me?". She shouted back. "Sure mom!!" I replied as I left our house.

I blasted on my mp3 as I power walked outside our house. People were emerging from their houses. Maybe they are going for a run too.

There's nothing much in our town, aside from people going about their usual routine. It's a small community where everyone knows who everyone is. People are friendlier here unlike those in the city. I walked towards the park.

I RAN. I RAN AS FAR AS MY LEGS COULD GO. I wanted to free myself of my thoughts. I have no work, I have no house. Shit. I continued to run a few more blocks when I ran into someone.

This is my first story so please be kind. I've been reading tons  of werewolf stories so I decided to make on of my own. It does get better as the story progresses so please dont judge.
