Chapter 6: It's been so long...

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Sorry for the wait my Marvel Spiders. I had personal family problems at home but I'm back!

Avengers Tower

After the incident, that occurred its been rough for Tony. Probably the roughest month that he's been through. Loki and Thor haven't come back, the team instead of Bruce had left, and Tony... Well he was different. More bitter, and he strained from the pain only to hide it with liquor and more science. Bruce had done everything that he could but Tony had always pushed him aside. Tony thought it would help him. To be surrounded by only his suits and his British voiced friend.

When he was a kid (About 8), Tony never had a dad. Not really. He and his mother was the only people in the house...at the time, it was the most painful feeling to not have his father around. He never got the chance to go to ball games, to get ice cream, or to go to parent meetings with his dad.

On day, his mother suggested Tony to go to therapy for his aggressive actions at school. Of course, Stark didn't have a choice not to go. During the session, the therapist, asked to rate his pain from 1 to 10. Tony thought for while, then he said 10. 10 was the most painful at the time. But now, that he's here... he realized he was wrong. This was the 10, he dreaded so much.

Today was rain and thunder, and depressing. Tony as usual, in his lab with Bruce who obviously minds the company. They don't talk for a while until Bruce breaks the silence. "Tony, that's enough."

Tony doesn't bother turning around from his work. They had this talk many times before. "You know, I'm feeling a bit of deja vu right now." He tilted his head slightly like he made a point. The doctor just scoffed, parting his glasses from his face.

"We've been over this. You've been drinking more, you're going out being... the old Tony Stark. You're not the same since-"

"Dammit, I know Bruce!" He yelled, slamming his hand on the desk making a loud boom. Losing Loki was torturous and it hurt more than the pieces of shrapnel in his chest. Which says a lot. Tony put down his drill, and turned around face the shorter man. "I was going to tell him, how I felt. But point break took him and-."

He paused in mid sentence, and just laughed to hide his tears as he got up. Bruce just started at him with the look of guilt. He knew they've been through this, and it hurt every time.

"And he didn't come back which means he's made his choice. I just have to move on."

Tony sighed disappointingly, averting his gaze from Bruce. He hated sharing his feeling. It made him feel so weak like what he used to be. Tony had his whole life planned out for him and Loki. He would have went on dates with the God. Maybe, even go and travel. And if things progressed, they would have gotten married. All of this planning, to only go down the drain. Tony didn't notice that Bruce wrapped his arms around his neck, and embraced him. His body was tense at first, but eventually his muscles relaxed.

"Wherever he is, I bet he is missing you, Tony. Even if he is with Thor, he still cares about you." Bruce explained, leaning back enough to look into Tony's hazel eyes. "I'm still here for you, Tony."

Tony did know that Bruce did liked him deeply for years but he was too stubborn to see it. Maybe it was time to move on. Loki has made his choice and he had to accept it. Tony forced a smile, then suddenly he pressed his lips against Bruce's. The doctors lips were soft like a cloud, and it made Tony hum at the feeling.
