The sun was peeking through the curtains, shining in through her balcony window making for an absolute rude awakening when she opened her eyes. Usually when she woke she'd start off her morning with a good stretch and shower but her routine was entirely interrupted once she heard the sounds of screaming and her nose picked up on the scent of something burning. As her feet quickly shuffled downstairs and towards the kitchen the horror and worry was immediately wiped from her face at the scene before her.

"Kiome you scared the shit out of me, I thought the boys set fire to something.''

"Well good morning lil sis.'' Her sister responds playfully as she sits down Juni who she had been holding upside down over her shoulder.

"When did you get here?''

"Last night, I was looking for the old spare key dad used to hide out back when Juni let me in.'' at her words nao immediately shot a knowing look to Juni.

"Hey! You said you wouldn't tell her I let you in!"

"I said I wouldn't tell her why you were sneaking around the kitchen at 4 am.''

"Save that for another time and someone tell me why it smells like a forest fire in our house.''

"Kiome was trying to make pancakes and she dropped pancake mix onto the burner.'' Aiki, who had been sat happily on the counter licking a spoonful of pancake mix, finally speaks.

"My god just, just let me finish before you guys burn down the house." she rests the palm of her hand on her forehead.

"I didn't even get to brush my teeth.'' she sighs as she pushes her sister off to the side to finish making breakfast, Kiome didn't seem to mind though she immediately went back to chasing aiki and Juni around the house.

Once she had finally freshened up and their brothers were sitting at the dining table eating breakfast the girls took the opportunity to catch up.

"So how have things been on the road?'' She asks with a smile as she sat facing Kiome with a pillow in her lap. Her and Kiome were complete opposites, but despite not living like her sister did, she was always amazed with the stories her sister would bring back from her travels. While Naokei was more into reading, marine biology, and a subtle life, her sister was the part that could never stay in place too long, that's why she was always on the mov with her band. While Naokei loved to be out with nature and the fresh air, Kiome loved the speedy city life.

"Well it was pretty much the same with me, I'm a bit more interested in knowing what's been going on with you? I feel like I haven't heard much from you since you started going to this new school.'' and there it was, her guilt began to set in again, she was so wrapped up in the idea that her stepmother forced her to go there that she hadn't even been checkin in with her own sister.
