Chapter 4

Clem's POV

Me and winter follow skye to a circular room with a table in the middle. Coulson taps it and holograms drift into the air. "Woah." I whisper. Beside me, Simmons laughs quietly. Coulson pulls up a blurry picture and begins, "Our security cameras have caught Ward, two other men, and Ian Quinn lurking around Shield faculties. Recently, they've been hacking the computers trying to figure out where we are. We don't know what they want, but it probably isn't good. Skye, I need you to hack into their computers or other security cameras to try to find out what they want."

Skye nods. "Who's Ward?" Winter asks. Fitz speaks in a cold voice, "a jerk who betrayed us" Skye says, "a psychotic killer." Looking slightly confused, Winter nods slowly.

Coulson sighs and says in a serious tone, "Ward used to be on our team, but he isn't anymore." I shift in my spot and ask, "did you guys kick him out?"

Skye smiles sadly and says, "We didn't kick him out. He left us."

Skye's POV

After hacking into their computer, I tell the team about what I found. "I hacked into a security camera with audio that was a bit closer to them, but I still couldn't hear most of it. I cleared up, but I could still only get two words that were louder than the rest, here they are."

I press the play button in my computer and my heart drops once again as Ward's voice begins to speak against the crackling background. "get closure." His voice says from the computer's speakers.

At the other corner of the table, I see Bobbi look at May. "He's coming for me." Bobbi says. "I've heard him say that before. It's his way of getting revenge. That's why he tortured me - he wanted closure."

Coulson nods and pulls up a map. Pointing to a dot on the screen, he says "They're here." He looks around.

"May, Skye, Hunter and Mack, you'll come with me. We're going to kill Ward and Quinn and take in the other two men. Bobbi, you stay here with Clem, Fitzsimmons, and Winter. You need to heal, and they aren't ready. Simmons, see how well she's recovering."

Before walking off with my team to make a plan and prepare, I turn to Clem and say, "bye, Clem." She says, "bye. When can I come with you?"

"Soon", I say, grinning at her enthusiasm. "Tomorrow morning, we'll train downstairs." She nods, looking happy.

Winter's POV

Me, Bobbi, and Clem walk down to the lab. "Oh, Bobbi, Coulson wanted me to check you for recovery." Simmons says, walking around the table to Bobbi. She sees Clem next to her. "And Clem, how are your cuts healing?"

"Pretty well, I think. They don't hurt anymore. I mean, They're fine." Clem says. Simmons nods, looking amused. I turn to Bobbi, wondering what she's recovering from. "What happened to you?" I ask Bobbi, sitting on the chair next to her while Simmons measures her heart rate.

"I got shot in the back of my head." She says. I widen my eyes. "Wow. Well, um, I'm sorry." Bobbi laughs and shakes her head. "It's fine now." Simmons looks up from the device around Bobbi's arm and says, "she took a bullet for hunter."

"That's really brave, Bobbi." I say quietly, looking down at my hands. "You're brave too, Winter." I shake my head and smile at her, my eyes full of admiration."Not that brave."

"Hey," Bobbi says softly, I look at her, "when I was fourteen, I wasn't half as brave as you." I smile at the ground.

"Your recovery looks pretty good, Bobbi." Simmons says. Bobbi and Simmons continue to talk as I lean back in my chair, watching Fitz and Clem talking.
