•1st person•the next morning•
I stumble into the hotel. I sigh and run my hands through my messy hair. I sluggishly sit at the bar.
"You look like shit." Husk puts whiskey in front of me.
"Thanks." I take it and drink it in two gulps. He looks impressed and worried.
"The fuck happened?" He poured me some more. I took a deep in and out. I put on a smile.
"I'm fine. Just a long night." I took the whiskey and drank it slower. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I don't bother to look.
"Angel I'm not in the mo-"
"I'm not angel dust." I felt warm breath run down my neck making me shiver. His mouth hovered close to my ear, growing closer to my neck with each second. I look over my shoulder at Lucifer, his face an inch away from mine. I move my head back slightly, his grin widening.
"I'm not in the mood Lucifer." I put my elbow on the bar and rest my head in my hand. "I had a long night last night."
"I know. You left me at the hotel, drunker then a skunk. You could have taken advantage and made a real shitty deal with me. You needed to be somewhere. Who owns your soul?" He sat by me and husk handed him some wine. I didn't give him enough credit, he's smart.
"I do. For now. Once I get more power in hell I'll be out of that shitty place." I rub my temples completely forgetting I was speaking out loud.
"Power?" Fuck. I'm dead. Double dead. He lost his smile and he put a hand on my shoulder. "Why didn't you just ask?"
"You're the king of hell! I'm not going to walk up to you and ask to be an overlord. I'd have to be crazy. And I'd like to keep my soul." He went to speak but I put my hand up. He shut up quick. I laid my hand on the table and he puts his over mine. We finished our drinks like that. Everyone filed down from there rooms slowly.
"Hey gu-" Charlie looked down at Lucifer's and my hands. She just walked away.
