❥ NOBODY'S POV 

MONKEY KING, THE SAGE EQUAL to Heaven and Great Sage was packing a suitcase for his trip.

"What do you mean by vacation?" MK questioned his mentor, MK's cell phone rings showing an app that MK ignores.

MK throws his cell phone away. "Oh, come on, man! I promised myself that when I found a successor I would go see some friends... Hang out at the places I used to go to! Just relax, you know?" Monkey King says before finding a pair of glasses, "Oh! I'm going to need them."

While Monkey King and MK were talking to their mentor for successor, not far from them was Marinette who was packing her own suitcase or rather checking to make sure she hadn't forgotten anything.

"Right! Looks like I got everything." Marinette says looking at her suitcase. "You're not forgetting my cheese, are you?" Plagg asks making Marinette laugh a little.

Marinette shook her head saying she didn't forget. The Kwamis looked at her with complete sadness, something that didn't pass on to Marinette.

Marinette then looks at the Kwamis, "Oh come on guys, I'm only going to be gone for a few days!" Mello then approaches. "But why can't we go with you?"

Marinette closes her bag and looks at the Kwamis with a sweet smile. "If you come with me, you could be in danger." Marinette explains then looks at Tikki and Plagg, "They only come with me because I'm the bringer of their miracles."

Marinette then approaches the Monkey King and looks at him, "Do you think it's a good idea for me to leave the box of Miracles here?" She asks, earning a smile from the Monkey King. "But of course there's nothing to worry about!" 

MK then intervened. "Wait?! What do you mean Cady goes with you?!" MK shouts but his question makes Marinette look at him in confusion.

"Huh? Well, I wanted to take Marinette somewhere I bet she'll like!" Monkey King says. He then jumps onto his cloud along with Marinette.

"Oh! MK, could you take care of Purple for me?" Marinette says referring to the black cat she adopted. MK nods as he smiles at the girl in front of him.

"Monkey King coming out!" As soon as the Monkey King said this, I flew at full speed. "Okay! Go away then!" MK says irritated with his mentor. MK then starts to sprout flowers and fruits from the mountain as he says goodbye to the Kwamis.

But then he stops halfway after remembering a small detail: "Wait a minute... Where's Purple?!" MK asks desperately.

High in the sky, an unusual cloud floats at high speed. Marinette looked down begging the gods that her cousins had escaped the Spider Queen's attack.

Meanwhile, Monkey King wasn't enjoying the silence between them at all. When he's around Marinette he feels joy, comfort and peace, but when she's quiet you never know what she's thinking.

Monkey King then breaks the silence: "Sooo... Where do we go now?" He asks making Marinette look at him. She sighs before grabbing a map from the side of her backpack.

She realizes that they are close to their destination. This makes Marinette tremble a little, she had to do something and quickly.

"Yes! A-Ah, stop here!" She stutters nervously pointing down. Monkey King just nods and falls at full speed to the ground. "Well. Here we are!" Monkey King announces.

They exit the cloud as Marinette checks the map by looking around. "So where is the Guardian temple?" Monkey King asks about the young guardian's current fate.

Marinette stops and analyzes the piece of paper in her hands, "I think the Guardians need to take a drawing class." She says, earning a light laugh from the Monkey King.

"But apparently I have to go southwest." She says before looking at the Monkey King, "I think I can go alone from here!"

"Are you sure you don't want company?" Monkey King asks worried about the youngest's protection. "Yes. After all, I don't want to ruin your vacation!" Marinette said reminding him of their vacation. 

Monkey King sighs and nods. He walks towards Marinette and kisses her forehead: "Good... Then I'll go!" He says with a smile.

Marinette returns the smile before she realizes Monkey King has already participated. She looks up at the sky before turning her attention to the forest.

She clenches her fists with a determined look. Marinette looks at Tikki and Plagg and waves at them, "Alright! Let's do it!" Marinette says before grabbing her backpack and heading into the forest.

"HOW LONG IS THIS GOING TO TAKE?!"

Marinette screamed at the top of her lungs with all the air she had left. Before she can do anything else she falls to the floor exhausted.

"What's worse is that I have to agree with her." Plagg says agreed. "You haven't taken a step if you want Plagg." Tikki says indignantly.

Marinette didn't care much about the two Kwamis' excuses. She starts to close her eyes to get some rest.

The silence of the forest was comforting not to mention that she could hear the sound of running water a few kilometers away.

"Well, Well, Well look what we have here." A gruff male voice said. Marinette got up instantly and positioned herself while Tikki and Plagg hid inside her jacket.

That's when she saw a tall man in front of her. But he was not alone there were three other men with him. Marinette sees that and starts to worry.

"Give it everything you've got, little girl!" The tall man Marinette believes to be the leader says as he approaches.

"I have nothing!" "So what's with that backpack on your back, huh?" The leader questions her, making her more nervous. "Even if I did I would never give it to you!"

Marinette takes a few steps back only to be caught by one of the men: "Let go of me!!" Marinette screams, struggling to get out of that guy's grip.

The leader then laughs. He approaches Marinette and holds her chin so he can forcefully look at him. "Let's take the girl too, she could be useful to us!" The leader shouts.

He had a mischievous smile on his lips as he looked at his henchmen who were tying Marinette's wrists. "We're going to make a lot of money from you." The leader mutters to himself.

Marinette was already at the height of panic, she was struggling to get away from those men but she didn't have the strength to do so.

She is then thrown to the ground with force making her moan. The men along with the leader begin to kick Marinette making her scream in pain.

Marinette's patience was already running out of limits, she was about to transform and beat these people up. When suddenly a blue beam passed by and launched one of the men towards a tree.

Leaving everyone in shock. As the leader turned to see who did this a larger figure begins to step out of the shadows wielding a sword. 

"Leave that poor child alone!" The figure said with a threatening voice. Marinette narrows her eyes to see that it was a demon... lion?
