As Joong bid farewell to Pond and left their usual spot, his mind still swirling with unresolved thoughts, he decided to take a drive to clear his head. The familiar streets provided some comfort as he navigated through the city.
However, as Joong slowed down at a stop sign, he heard a loud thud against his car. Startled, he glanced in the rearview mirror to see a mischievous grin on the face of his neighbor's 16-year-old son, Adam, who was throwing stones at his car.
Joong, feeling a surge of frustration, rolled down his window and called out to Adam.
Joong: "Hey, what do you think you're doing?"
Adam, unfazed, smirked and threw another stone, narrowly missing Joong's car.
Adam: "Just having some fun, old man! Your car's so lame anyway!"
Joong, struggling to keep his temper in check, took a deep breath.
Joong: "Listen, Adam, you need to stop this nonsense right now. You could damage someone's property."
Adam, laughing, made a rude gesture before running off down the street.
Joong, shaking his head in exasperation, continued on his drive, the unexpected encounter with Adam adding to the tumult of emotions swirling within him.
Frustration simmered beneath Joong's surface as he continued his drive, Adam's disrespectful behavior echoing in his mind. Despite his efforts to brush off the encounter, the incident had left a sour taste in his mouth.
As Joong pulled into his driveway, he couldn't shake off the lingering sense of unease. The sanctuary of his home offered a brief respite from the chaos of the outside world, but the encounter with Adam had fractured the peace he had sought.
Entering his house, Joong found himself pacing, his mind racing with thoughts of how to address the situation. He debated whether to confront Adam's parents or simply let it go, but neither option seemed satisfactory.
As the evening wore on, Joong found it difficult to focus on anything else. The weight of unresolved conflict hung heavy in the air, casting a shadow over his once peaceful evening.
Little did Joong know, the encounter with Adam was just the beginning of a series of challenges that would test his patience and resilience in unexpected ways, forcing him to confront not only external conflicts but also the internal turmoil that lurked beneath the surface.
