Gods and Goddess stem their powers from their followers, they strive from their devotion...their love. The God of war stems from those who fought in wars, the Goddess of love stems from those who are willing to give their hearts to others, the God of death stems from those who have come to terms with their deaths and the Goddess of the night stems from those who find solace within the night sky.

But what about the Goddess of the stars, where does she gain her powers? Those who used to pray to their gods are now all gone and she stands alone on a deserted plane of existence, unloved and powerless.

Grim and Serenity did indeed join forces to push back the Headmaster who just turned himself into a ghost. Grim with his blue fires and Serenity uses her stardust to block attacks and try to heal Grim anytime she could get. It was strange, they both met each other less than a few hours ago but for some reason, they could work together so flawlessly.

"Well?"

Grim gasped out while still pending from the long workout, Serenity was behind him rubbing his back.

"Incredible, I've never seen anyone bend a monster to their will quite the way you have."

Crowley proceeded to tilt his head and held his chin as if he was pondering about something.

"But I must confess, my educator's intuition did sense something about you after that brouhaha at orientation, Miss Serenity."

The Headmaster turned his head to her, Serenity looked up at this tall stature unsure what he was about to say next.

"I could tell you had a certain animal trainer-y, beast master-ish quality to you. Yes...oh yes indeed."

Crowley started to mumble to himself, Serenity took the chance to look at Grim, and Grim gave her the signal to ask the question.

"So, would it be possible for Grim to stay with me?"

This question pushed Crowley from his thoughts.

"What?! A monster, stay here?"

Serenity took the chance to push harder.

"Please sir, Grim may seem unruly but I can assure you that he has great magical ability. Please give him but a small chance, I'm sure you won't regret this."

Unaware that Serenity was using her strongest spell on none other than The HeadMaster of Night Raven College, her pleading doe eyes and pouting lip. Crowley tensed up at the sudden cuteness shown to him, begging him for something. For some reason, the word 'no' wasn't found in his dictionary.

"I...I suppose I cannot deny your plea. Very well."

Crowley stammered his words slightly, still recovering from the sudden cuteness attack. Both Grim's and Serenity's eyes lit up in excitement. Both of them proceeded to give each other hugs. Crowley looked in awe at the young girl who was so quiet that he nearly forgot she was in the same room now jumping up and down with the same monster that almost set her hair on fire. Her small stature and cute hops greatly reminded him of a small white rabbit.

" But let me be clear! Under no circumstances would I admit anyone to Night Raven College which the Dark Mirror has not selected. Especially not a monster! The Dark Mirror was very adamant about you attending, Serenity. So of course you be registered as a student, but I would not be letting you freeload until you'll be able to return home."

Grim demeanor changed.

"Hrmph. Never should've gotten my hopes up."

"Now let me explain, It was the Dark Mirror that transported you here, therefore this school does bear some responsibility for your well-being. So I will allow you to remain in this dorm, free of charge. However, you will need to pay for your own food, clothing, and other things."

Both Serenity and Grim could feel something was going to come up, but before Serenity could ask, Grim beat her.

"So what are you planning on making Nitty do?"

Grim found himself in between the girl and the headmaster not liking this situation one bit. He may be selfish but like hell, he'll let this girl get taken advantage of.

"You don't need to be so alarmed, I'm simply going to ask her for some future favors. The Dark Mirror mentioned to me that your powers are not that form this world so if I were in need of that I'll call upon you."

"So basically you're asking her to be your slave?"

"Slave is such an ugly word, let us use the word 'personal assistance'."

Serenity looked between both of them, Grim growling and Crowley with his yellow glowing eyes and a smile.

"If I were to agree, would you allow Grim to attend the school?"

"Nitty...you.."

Grim was at a loss for words. Serenity kept her cosmic eyes on Crowley waiting for an answer. As Crowley's golden eyes peered into her cosmic eyes he found himself unable to look away, her eyes were sucking him in.....no they were making him comply with her every whim, is this why the mirror was so adamant about having her stay here? What exactly were her powers and what was the power protecting her? He had to turn his head or he would be doing everything she'd ask of him.

" Grim seems to know his way around a broom. So how about Grim works as a janitor for the school? If he agrees to that, I'll make a special exception and allow him to remain on campus."

Serenity's eyebrow turned up, she turned her head to Grim to see his reaction, and just like she expected he wasn't all too thrilled about being made into a janitor. And to add salt to the wound Crowley decided to add another comment.

"How boundlessly charitable I am."

Grim had no choice but to accept the offer presented to him, Crowley then once again turned to Serenity, trying now to not look into her eyes.

"I've already spoken to one of the teachers to arrange your uniform. If you can, please meet with Professor Crewel to get your measurements done, but here's some clothing to wear in the meantime until you gain your uniform."

Crowley handed Serenity a white paper with different clothing within them, as she looked closely she also saw different pairs of undergarments. Unsure how he could obtain them will remain a mystery to her, she'll find it a hassle to question this man's thought process.

Serenity never understood the concept of night and day. With her entire existence on the moon, all she knew was night, the stars, and the moon itself. She woke up when the warm rays of the sun hit her face, it was new to her but she enjoyed it. Remembering the stories her mother would tell her about walking on earth while the sun warmed her body, every little thing about human nature and their environments Serenity's mother loved with all her heart.

Serenity pushed herself off the hard bed carefully so as not to wake Grim, She looked around the room, even without the lights it was fully lit with just the rays coming through the window. Unlike her old bedroom, this room was smaller and dirty but for some reason, it was full of life......then again three ghosts do live here. She made her way to the vanity by her bed to look at her current state. Her extremely long hair was a mess, traces of dirt could be found on her white dress and she had slight bags under her eyes. To say the least, she was doing great. Serenity sighed to herself, she took great care of her hair and now it's a mess. It'll take forever to fix it.

"Good morning you two!!"

One of the ghosts came into the bedroom with a wide smile on his face, the star goddess noticed it was the tall and skinny one of the trio, and both of them made eye contact before the ghost gasped.

"Look at your hair!! Come come, let me fix it for you."

Pushing her down on the vanity chair, Serenity could see the ghost pulling out a brush from one of the drawers. With his ghost hands and started to fix her hair.

"You know, you have really long hair. It must've taken you forever to grow it out this long."

"Yeah, my hair is one of the few things I have pride in. My mother always said that she loved my long hair."

"Awww, so sweet. What a wonderful mom."

Serenity couldn't help but nod. Her mother was indeed a wonderful mother.
