𝐈𝐓 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐄 night of our date. I was nervous yet, excited. It was weird, ever since he left I thought that there was no chance of us getting back together and I didn't really know where we stood. I never believed in the right person, wrong timing until I met him. He swept me off my feet. I was so ridiculously in love with him that I would have done anything. He was my first love, the person I've always loved. Which only made him coming back so much more confusing.I opened the door as soon as I heard the knock. I took a sharp intake of breath before Cade revealed himself on the other side, "Wow," He breathed out, "You look beautiful, ma."
Pink blush rose to my cheeks at his words as he placed a gentle kiss on my cheek. I wore a white, long and elegant dress with an open back. My blond locks fell loosely at my shoulders and I wore matching heels, "Thank you."
He chuckled, looking around the room, "This is a nice place you and eight hundred other people have here." He joked.
I laughed along at his words, "Yeah, the identical surroundings do make you crazy after a little while. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a secret government experiment."
I shut the door on my way out as we waltzed down the stairs, "Most government experiments don't have plasma TVs or maid services."
I rolled my eyes, "Come on, Cade. You can't act like that now that you've seen the rest of the world."
He smiled at my words, wrapping his arm around my waist as we walked, "And I can't wait to show it to you."
My heart skipped a beat at his words until my mom's voice cut me off, "Cade?" She questioned happily, "What a lovely surprise." She pulled my ex-boyfriend into a warm hug, "Where are you taking my daughter tonight?"
He hummed, "The usual. Dinner." She nodded in response before he noticed the many bags in her grasp, "Big shopping day?"
"I had a lot on my mind," Lily sighed, "But I won't bore you with the details. Have fun, you two."
I waved goodbye to my mom before I was escorted out of the palace.
Spotted: Nova van der Woodsen, and ex-boyfriend, Cade Davis at the steps of the palace. All dressed up. I wonder where they're going. A date perhaps?
𝐈 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 the menu, scanning over the options. Cade had taken me to a restaurant that we had been to a couple of times before on previous dates so I already knew most of the food items, "I'll have the lapin," The boy spoke to the waiter as he awaited our requests.
"Very good, Sir," He turned to me, "And for you, Miss?"
I smiled politely to the man as I read from the menu, "I'll have the Muscovy duck, please. Merci." He collected our menus and left us alone at the table. I looked over to the dark-skinned boy to find him staring at me lovingly, "What?" I chuckled.
