𝐇𝐄𝐘, 𝐔𝐏𝐏𝐄𝐑 𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐓 Siders. It's Christmas in New York and along with the season comes the Constance Billard St. Jude's Bazaar where the only thing bizarre are the donated items for sale.

I watched nervously as Cade's mother approached me in the street. After reading on Gossip Girl that the boy was seen at the airport, my heart broke in two. I didn't know how to react. I wasn't much surprised but a part of me wanted to believe that this time would be different.

"Nova, darling." She smiled in my direction as she pulled me into a hug, "Happy holidays."

I smiled falsely, "Happy holidays, Mrs Davis." I pulled away from the woman and tucked my blond hair behind my pierced ears nervously, "I didn't think you'd still be in town. I figured you'd be with-"

"Cade, no." She cut me off, "I have some business to attend to here while he suns himself up in Dubai. His father and I will be joining him for New Year's."

I nodded politely, "Oh, right. Dubai is lovely. One of his favourites, actually. I think. I'm sorry, I really should be going but it was lovely to see you."

"You too, Nova." I hurried away from the conversation after realising how much I had started to waffle until I caught sight of Blair and Serena.

I frown confusedly at the large candy cane in the brunette's grasp to which she notices, "They're for my dad." She explained, "We get them every year. He landed from Paris 27 minutes ago."

I chuckled at her panicked tone as I put on an accent, "Oh, then vite, vite. I'll parle while you marches. Come on, I said vite."

The two girls chuckled at my actions as we attempted to pull over a cab, however, they ignored us, "Hey, nice holiday spirit Scrooge." The Waldorf girl yelled to the driver angrily.

Serena chuckled, "So it's gonna be a real Waldorf Christmas?"

She grinned, "Well, a real Waldorf Christmas Eve. Eleanor drew the line on Christmas day. That's only for me, her and Dorota."

I shrugged, "You'll have a couple of days with your dad." I say, trying to stay positive.

"More," She gleams, "I'm gonna convince him to stay in New York."

"What about Paris and Roman?" Serena questioned.

The girl only rolled her eyes at the mention of her father's boyfriend, "Roman is a phase. He belongs here with me. He only left New York to ride out the scandal. It's time for him to come home don't you think?" I held my arm out during Blair's sentence when I noticed an oncoming cab, "Hey, did you wanna ask me something?"

"Yes," She replied desperately, "A gift idea for Dan. What Vanessa got him was the most thoughtful, meaningful, Dan-like present ever."

"Why don't you just buy him a new outfit for Cedric?" I suggested jokingly, "And I don't like the way she acts around him." I said referring to Vanessa.
