Breaking and Entering

Istanbul, Three Months Earlier...

The chapter begins at nighttime with Oscar, Blake and Mercury riding a motorboat across the bay where the Istanbul Palace Museum sits on the coast. Blake drives the boat with Oscar and Mercury in the back wearing black jumpsuits and gloves. 

"You sure you're up for this?" Oscar asked Mercury.

"Feel a lot better if I had a gun." Mercury replied, feeling a bit nervous.

"Feeling nervous there, Mercury?" Yang teased.

"Screw you."

"We won't need 'em." Oscar said with full confidence.

Roman shook his head. "You won't be confident once you get stabbed in the back at the end."

"A little insurance, that's all." Mercury said.

"Mercury, they're just museum guards, and we have their patrols all mapped out. Relax." Oscar said, trying to calm down the nervous Mercury.

"Relax? Have you ever been in a Turkish prison, mate? If we get caught, they will lock us up and throw away the sodding key. You do realize that, don't you?" Mercury questioned, chuckling nervously.

"Better than you do."

"Yeah, from what we can tell, he's already been in a jail cell before." Weiss said, referring to the last chapter.

"Well, you may fancy that kind of thing, but I don't. We can't afford to make any mistakes." Mercury said.

"Yeah, and we won't." Oscar said, nodding.

"YOU won't, but mercury will." Emerald said.

"Nice to see you have so much faith in me partner." Mercury deadpans.

Blake pulls the boat under the cliffside where a large sewer drain was. "We're here." She and the boys climbed up, opened the drain with a blowtorch, and walked through the tunnels.

"So what do we do if they switch the patrols?" Mercury asked.

"We figure it out as we go." Oscar replied.

"We cannot fumble our way through this."

Neo rolled her eyes. "You guys are thieves with a lot of experience, I don't think you need to tell them that."

"I don't fumble, I improvise." Oscar said.

Blake raises an eyebrow. "Oh, is that what you call it?"

"Yeah, I'm uh... adaptable." Oscar replied, grinning.

"Adaptable?" Blake repeated, smiling.

"You cocky bastard." Mercury chuckles, shaking his head.

"Look who's talking." Nora said. "Three of you are breaking and entering into a big museum."

Oscar, Blake and Mercury kept going until they found a tunnel next to a ledge where another tunnel was down below. Mercury points at it. "There. What'd I tell you? That passage is gonna take us right under the museum."

"You called it, alright." Oscar said.

Mercury nudges Oscar with a smug grin. "You need to have a little more faith in me, chum."

"I don't." Oscar said with cautious.

Blake looks at the other tunnel. "Okay, this one here is me."
