Chapter 3 new prom announcement

As Anya was taking her test, Damien, who had finished, was daydreaming about her being his girlfriend and cooking for her. Anya, noticing Damien looking at her, blushed, unaware that he was simply tired from studying the previous night. After putting her test away on the teacher's desk, she sat down and talked to Becky after school. Teacher Henry Henderson then announced the details about the Eden High prom.

Henry Henderson: "Okay, class, Eden High's 24th prom will be held on the S.S. Lynda, the most luxurious cruise in the world. It features a five-star restaurant and a huge ballroom, one of the biggest in the country. Tickets cost $2,000 per person and include a free luxurious room for you and your family, along with a 20% discount at the highly reviewed Celestron restaurant, including a buffet during the prom. So, act fast!"

Damian eagerly lit up and purchased his ticket after school. He noticed Anya getting her ticket and waved at her. She ran over to him, showing off her A+ grades, smiling at him.

Damian: "You got an A?"

Anya: "Yes, I did!"

Their fingers touched briefly, and they both blushed, quickly pulling away and looking elsewhere when Loid, appearing like an overprotective father, walked in and gave Damian a terrifying glare.

Anya: "Dad, we're just friends. Relax."

Loid: "Let's go home. Want me to make something with peanuts?"

Anya: "Peanuts?!"

Loid pointed at his eyes and then at Damian, signaling in sign language. Damian, feeling scared, ran off to his dorm and lay down on his bed, glancing around to ensure no one was watching him. He pulled out a photo collage of Anya and smiled, thinking of a plan to ask her to prom. He fell asleep while hugging the picture of Anya.

The next morning, as Damian was walking to class, he saw a random guy confessing to Anya and instantly felt jealous. He walked up to her slowly, grabbed her shoulder, and pulled her away from the guy, saying,

Damian: "I think we need to study a bit more. Come on."

The guy, angered by Damian's interruption, approached him but backed off quickly, intimidated by Damian's possessive gaze, which was more terrifying than Loid's. Anya thanked Damian for saving her and agreed to study together as they headed to the library, hand in hand.
