As Anya was asleep since she had no school and was watching TV all night while Yor was at work, Loid locked all the doors and windows. Loid was going to his work as a spy when his boss, Sylvia, talked to him about his mission: meeting Damien's dad to stop him from starting a war. He mentioned a secret party that the Desmonds were having on the most luxurious cruise in the world, the SS Lynda.

Sylvia: "But your daughter needs to be best friends with Damian, though you told me she's close to him."

Loid: "Yes, but it feels like they're dating and they're too close."

As he smashed his coffee cup, being an overprotective father, his hand started to bleed.

Sylvia: "They need to be close for world peace."

Loid: "I know, I'm sorry."

Sylvia then briefed him about Project CXGCYSCMFT, stressing its importance and the need to retrieve a code from a vault, which Loid had to do with his partner, Tobacco Stan.

Loid: "Okay, I'll do it."

He ran to his car and headed to the tobacco shop.

Franky: "Hey, there's your newsletter. What happened to your hand? Did you just get overprotective about your daughter?"

Loid: "Yeah, she's my kid."

Franky: "You need to relax, dude."

Loid: "You have a point, but this is for the mission to create a world where kids don't have to cry. That's why I became a spy in the first place."

He burned the newsletter, having memorized the code, then went to the vault, infiltrated the security, retrieved the information, and escaped.

Afterward, Loid disguised himself as the bank owner to retrieve more information from the vault. He gave the retrieved files to Sylvia.

Sylvia: "You retrieved the files, didn't you?"

Loid: "Yes, I did. Here you go."

Sylvia: "Okay, it's a mask-only party starting on February 1, after the Eden Academy prom. You have three days off before your next mission. You can go."

As Loid took off, he kept the diamond in a hidden drawer in his room for retirement, so he could marry Yor after his last mission.
