Chapter 14 the risks

Anya was talking to Damian as he held her hand, and she freaked out for a second before Damian looked away.
Damian: I'm just doing this because I don't want to lose you. It's not that I like you or anything.
Anya: Aw, you sure?
He blushed and was bright red as she smiled at him and kissed his cheek. They walked to the carnival. Damian was at the ring toss booth, and he got the ring and tossed it, winning the game. He got a reward, a cat stuffed animal, and gave it to Anya. She smiled, and Damian looked away. He pulled her arm to go to the rides. They tried the tallest swing ride in the world. Damian was scared; he had a fear of heights.

Anya: Aww, are you scared? Fine, let's go see a movie at the theater.
Damian: Sure, let's see "Godzilla."

They walked and picked their seats. Damian went to the snack bar and came back, sitting down.
Anya: I'm so excited! What movie did you take me to?
Damian: "Godzilla: The Stubby Legs."
Anya: Hey, not fair. Okay, "Sci-fi" boy.
Damian: Touché.

As the theater got dark, and all the lights turned off, the movie started to play. Anya was getting scared and hiding her face with her cat plushie as Damian was freaking out. He calmed down and did a fake stretch, wrapping his arm around Anya. She looked at him, about to lean in when Ewen interrupted.

Ewen: This is a good movie, huh, Master Damian?
Emile: Yeah.

As the movie ended, Damian was angry.
Anya: I'm going to the restroom, and you can walk me to my room; I'm getting tired, okay?

She went to the girls' restroom, and Emile and Ewen approached.
Emile: That monster movie was amazing, Master Damian.
Ewen: Yeah, Master Damian, what's wrong?

Damian rolled a piece of cardboard and started bonking Emile and Ewen on the head with it. They cried out in pain.
Emile and Ewen: Ow, stop, that hurts!
Damian: No, and if you interrupt me when I ask her out to prom, you're dead.
Emile and Ewen: Yes, Master Damian.

Anya walked up, and they walked to the elevator, which took them to their rooms. Damian put his hand on her shoulder.
Damian: I need to tell you something.
Anya: What is it?
Damian: Will you go to prom with me?
Anya, trying to keep her cool: Yes, of course. Why not?

She kissed his cheek, and he walked into her room. Damian ran towards his room and excitedly celebrated before his father walked in.
Donovan Desmond: Why did you ask that commoner out? Why not the other girl?
Damian: But, Dad, I love her.
Donovan Desmond: That's no excuse; you're ruining the Desmond name.
Damian: Shut your mouth, old man.
Donovan Desmond: Say that again.
Damian: Old man, always the same with you. You want me to do what you want to do. Let me choose; this is my life, not yours. And if you want to change that, then just mind your own business, old man.
Donovan Desmond: How dare you say that?

He lifted up his hand to slap him, but Anya tried to stop it and got slapped on the face with his wedding ring, cutting her slightly. Damian saw red, pushed his father away, and grabbed Anya, locking the door. Donovan Desmond banged on the door and screamed.
Donovan Desmond: You better open this door, or else!
Damain: Shut up, Dad.
Donovan Desmond: Fine, you'll regret this later.

He left with a smirk. Damian cried as he looked at Anya and patched up her face.
Damian: You can go now; I need to be alone.
Anya: Damian?
Damian: GO!

She got up, looked at him, and hugged him. He hugged her back, crying and squeezing her tightly.
Anya: Shhhh, relax, let it all out; it's okay.

Damian hugged her and cried before letting her go. Anya got up.
Anya: See you tomorrow, okay?
Damian: Bye, and thanks, you're the best.
Anya: That's what friends are for.

She walked to her room and got a phone call from Damian as he talked to her before they went to sleep. Donovan Desmond had a speaker on his suit as he talked to it.
Donovan Desmond: Get the bombs ready; this place will blow up to smithereens on prom day, and that peasant will die.
