Chapter 13 ~ Aftermath of the Story

The silence was heavy...

The faces of the ninja, after being told a traumatizing tale of a girl who died at such a young age, were horrified or crying from it...

Hearing that the princess, has been through worse than all of them combined, was struggling till this day. Struggling to find happiness and peace, but also life... she was only half-living as a remaining soul, awaiting for her body to heal.

Kai looked down to the floor with tears slowly dripping from his cheeks. Nya began to cry along with her brother as she quickly stood up from the floor, rushing to hug her big brother, "Oh, Kai..! i'm so sorry you had to see her like that...!" The fire elemental stood up slowly and hugged his little sister back as he sighed, "It's okay Nya... I'm okay..." After some time, the crying stopped and they all gathered around Kai to help him feel better.

Grey walked towards them with Chris behind him. The King's ears were down in shame as the stains of dries tears on his face were most likely from regret and disappointment, remembering all the torture he had caused his little sister. "Now you all know... I'm not proud of myself for what i've done... I'm even surprised Red even gave me another chance..." Lloyd walked over to him and patted him shoulder kindly, "It's okay. You were a kid and was misled by lies and manipulation." "Especially with the mind of a child, you wouldn't have been able to understand how murder would work," Zane explains with a soft tone, hoping that his words will help the King. Grey smiles, grateful for their understanding.

"Though there's one thing I still don't get..." Nya says out loud, turning to Kai with a confused expression, "How do we fit in all of this? How does Red and Grey know you and me, Kai?" Kai looked at Nya with a nervous face as he scratched the back of his neck. "Eehhh... that's a little hard to explain... how about I tell you when we're done with cleaning up the storage room? Deal?" Nya blinked and tried to read through Kai's awkward expression before closing her eyes and sighing, "Deal..."

"Then let's get moving! No more moping around!" Cole says out loud, trying to lift the mood from depressing to happiness. Jay cheers along with him as he wraps an arm around Nya, "Yeah! We're almost done anyway, maybe we can also try to be friends with Red too!" Hearing that made the king, the guard and the red ninja tense. Chris reached a hand out slightly as he tried to explain, "You- Wha- Uh- I'm not sure if that's a good idea...." His stumbling words grabbed the Ninja's attention as Zane looks at him and Grey in confusion, noticing their faces have grown uncomfortable. "What makes you say that?"

"Well, as I said before, Red isn't as comfortable with people that isn't ou- i mean anyone she's known for a while. She's basically like a closed book to people outside of our realm. The only reason why she isn't with Kai is because he visits this world often, even after she.... y'know?" Grey explained with a soft tone, though worried about the ninja if they did try attempting to befriend Red. The green ninja hums in thought. After a short moment of thinking he turns to his brother figure with a question. "Hey, Kai?" The red ninja hums as a response. "How did you ever become close to Red in the first place? You couldn't have randomly found this place and not get in trouble. Especially since the last time you've seen them in the story was when you and Nya were kids, meaning you haven't seen them for a long list of years." Kai's head popped up when he was asked the question and given a explanation of truth. He chuckled before he began to answer his little brothers' question. "Oh, yeah, that- So actually funny story, they actually found me after we went to look for Wu after we defeated Krux and Acronix. Since I was on my own at first, I decided to head back to Four Weapons and check on my parents. And that's when I saw Grey and Red looking around the place, since it was empty because my parents decided to have a small vacation and look around Ninjago after so long. I kind of recognized them but-" "You thought I was a demon coming after your parents like those guys did and you thought Red was a random teenager trying to steal stuff or set the place on fire and attacked us," Grey interrupted with a blank face.
