Ritu's POV...
I am an Indian housewife. Recently I turned thirty-five. I am a mother to a ten-year-old daughter. My husband, Rajesh is in the Merchant Navy. He is at work for most of the year, far away from me. My marriage was arranged, and although I was a modern-minded young woman, my parents were conservative. I was in love with a boy back in college, but he was from another caste. As soon as my parents came to know about my relationship, they beat me and locked me up. I was married within six months after that.
After eleven years of marriage, Rajesh has barely spent any time with me. I became a mother within one year of marriage, and since then I have been raising my daughter with all the love I can give her. The first five years of my marriage were spent in Rajesh's village house. After I conceived a daughter, my in-laws started to force me to try again for a boy but I refused to take care of two children on my own which led to a civil war within the household. So Rajesh decided to leave the village and move to the city.
When my parents came to know that I refused to get pregnant and left the village they were extremely angry with me but since they separated me from my love I stopped listening to them. Rajesh and I with our daughter shifted to a small town named Shahabad. I have been living here for six years now and my husband has decided to move to Ambala. He bought a flat there.
Present...
Rajesh, is it really necessary to move this quickly? Pearl will also be left behind here.
Ritu! Why are you asking it again? Haven't I told you earlier? And besides the truck has already left with the goods. And her bua (Rajesh's sister) will take good care of her.
Okay if you say so. (Ritu in a sadistic manner)
Good, now shall we also move?
Yes (maybe?)...
I don't like the idea of moving to Ambala and that too without my daughter Pearl. Rajesh just came back ten days ago and told me to pack all the items. He doesn't understand, how I will manage alone in such a big city. He never listens to me, once a decision made is made for him.
After some time we reached our flat...
Madam, so did you like our new house?
Yes, how can I not like your choice, my love?
Okay, then the labourers have just unloaded all our goods. Why don't you start to set up our house till I visit my friend?
Yes, baby why not?
Rajesh leaves...
Oh God, now I have to do all the work alone but it's at least better than listening to his nagging.
Hmm, so there are three floors, two flats on each floor. This is a newly made apartment so it's mostly empty but Rajesh was saying that the flat right in front of ours is already occupied. So this is our third floor? But the flat in front also looks locked. Oh, Ritu leave it, don't overthink.
Alright, then I should start the work.
.......
Oh, I forgot about the time It is already past nine? But where is Rajesh? I better call him.
Before I could call Rajesh showed up.
Are you back baby? What took you so long?
Nothing, we just started having some drinks.
Oh, Rajesh so you already must have had dinner? I forgot to make dinner while working.
Yes, I already had my dinner but what about you?
Nothing, I'll manage.
Okay, then I am going to bed.
Baby, I'll also join you after finishing here.
.......
I should finish this work quickly. After this long day, great sex is all I need.
***
Rajesh baby, have you slept already?
No baby not yet.
So should we do it?
Rajesh grabbed my hand and pulled me towards him and started to undress me. He soon removed his clothes and within ten minutes he did whatever he wanted.
Baby, now I'll sleep.
Yes, baby good night!
No foreplay, no excitement, nothing! It's just like he uses my vagina for satisfying himself. Being a woman is tough. I am already thirty-five and I have barely enjoyed my life. Now what is left in my life? Nothing.
And he will soon leave again for at least six months.
