Two undeniably truths I have come to terms with after having my first day training.

1.) Theo is even more charming and gorgeous up close and while working with.

2.) He's married.

Yep you heard it here folks. Married. I saw the wedding ring. Now am I a good person and will stop fantasizing about a man who is married? Yes of course (no). Did I even have that big of an interest in him anyway? No of course not (yes a bit). Will I replace the man in my before sleep scenarios with literally anyone other than my married coworker? Duh (nope).

Ok so I might still have a tiny crush on him sue me.

Anyway my first day training was actually really good (other than the devastating news that Theo is married ) I got there early again. And he was there waiting . He beamed like actually beamed when I came in. He waved me over.

"Hey maverick come on around the counter. Grab an apron. We are starting with milk." He said this with a smirk like starting with milk was a bad thing. I came around and grabbed an apron. The apron had way more ties than a normal apron and I glanced at Theo and saw his was done up all fancy. I tried to mimick it but uh it got tangled. Before I could even try and untie it and start over he came over.

He swiftly undid it and re-tied it perfectly his fingertips just barely grazing me.
"These things can be a hassle sorry mav."

I turned to face him feeling brave all of a sudden.
"Why are you calling me that?"
His gaze traveled to my eyes and they were such a rich deep brown. Eyes you could get lost in.
"Maverick?" He asked innocently.
I nodded.
He shrugged "mavericks stand out they are different. I think you - I think you are different."

"Hi excuse me-"

And then he was gone to take someone's order. The moment though was electric just for a second. Maybe I am imagining that though. I waiting awkwardly while he finished up taking the order.

"Alright mav this is perfect she ordered a hot latte let's get some milk ready."

He reached around me to grab the milk from the fridge and placed a metal cup in front of me. He told me to fill it to a certain spot so I did. Then he told me to froth it. He pointed to a metal wand looking thing. He said put the wand in and push down. So I did .

And it exploded.

I'm talking milk. HOT milk everywhere.

He and the customer (a cute colleged aged girl) burst out laughing. (Did I mention cute girl? Yeah cute in a derogatory way.)

"Oh no mav you are supposed to aerate it. That's my bad I should've showed you. I wanted to see if you were a prodigy."

I just stared at him.
He came over and cleaned me and the counter up. And he re poured the milk.

"Let me show you."
AND THEN HE LITERALLY CAME AROUND BEHIND ME AND GRABBED MY HANDS TO GUIDE ME HOW TO AERATE THE MILK.

His body was pressed to my back. His arms came around and his warm slender hands grabbed my shaking ones and he then used them to guide my hands in the motions of frothing the milk. That's when I saw the ring. Right there on the left hand that was on top of mine. My heart sank. His flirty personality was just that. His personality not meant for me just who he was. The milk came out perfect. The customer was happy. But I was crushed.

The rest of the day was a normal boring training day. His flirting was here and there but no more touches and his glances to me did not seem to linger much. My hands still felt the phantom of his on them and my heart still flutters remembering it.

I left before his shift was done because the training shift is only 4 hours.

I untied my apron myself this time.
