"So I heard from someone that your break is near?" Karina sounds a lot less cheery than she was earlier when they were in the cafeteria. Now that they're walking back to the artist's room, there's a significant difference. Feet moving slower, fingers fidgeting together, and eyes finding the floor more intriguing. Karina's a lot more cute when she's shy, Minjeong makes up her mind.

But Karina's behavior isn't what catches Minjeong off guard. It's the fact that Karina knows that break is just around the corner that causes Minjeong's heart to palpitate disturbingly erratically in her chest. She's stupefied, bewildered, because why does Karina even know that? Who's telling her these types of things?

Minjeong stammers. She looks like an absolute fool trying to speak, mouth opening and closing, one with the fish in a pond. "Yeah, um.. Mid-sem break. Why do you ask?"

She sees a small pout on Karina's lips when she glances at the artist. A part of Minjeong dies a little on the inside as Karina turns to her. In her eyes, Karina looks like she's having a war with her own self. So hesitant yet so determined at the same time. As if she's stuck in a dilemma; should she or should she not? And Minjeong totally isn't thinking about how soft and plump Karina's lips look right fucking now. The blush color of Karina's lips is further emphasized when a tongue unexpectedly juts out from between and wets them.

All that runs through Minjeong's mind is: Shit. before she forces herself to focus on Karina's eyes instead. Those pretty dark orbs that reflect all light shone onto them, the eyes that can look freakishly akin to a puppy and a cat which are two vastly different species, the eyes that Minjeong can spend hours staring into; Karina Yu's eyes.

Okay, so maybe Minjeong is a little obsessed. Perhaps Minjeong has the teeny tiniest hint of a crush on South Korea's most precious gem, Karina Yu. And maybe that isn't such a wise decision because she could either be roping herself into some serious trouble or one that would result in heartbreak sooner or later. There is no in between, really. But still, it's so easy to like Karina, to admire and cherish her more than one probably should. Karina's just that loveable of a person.

"I won't be in Korea during your break." Karina, in the end, says. When Minjeong refocuses on her, Karina flashes a small smile at her, slipping her hand into Minjeong's as they ease into the hallway. "I'll be in Japan. You know the thing I've been working my butt off for the past weeks? I have a two-day concert there, on Thursday and Friday."

Right. So Karina did mention practicing a handful of times during their random phone calls and texts. Minjeong was not expecting it to be that though.

"Just Japan?" The question leaves her mouth before she can stop it. Minjeong curses under her breath for letting herself slip like that but decides not to take it back since Karina's already humming a response.

"It's a Japanese album. It only makes sense that I'm promoting there as well instead of just in Korea."

That does make sense. Minjeong has not one idea about how the music industry works but that makes a lot of sense. Somehow, feeling a tad bit sad at the thought of not having Karina bothering her for two days also makes sense. Kind of, at least. But it's not like it's Karina's job to bother her, rather it's to perform on big stages and sing her songs for the world to hear. So Minjeong, a little deflated, wants to make the most of their hangout today.

"Do you want to come with me?"

Whoa, wait. Hold the phone. "What?" Minjeong halts in her tracks, breath caught in her throat and hand still settled loosely in Karina's hold.

Karina stops walking, too. She turns to face Minjeong and her eyebrows are furrowed in worry of rejection — or that's what Minjeong thinks. "To Japan. Come with me?"
