The next week went by like a blur. Blaise had to leave the school to check on his sick dad, while Lio wouldn't talk to Harry, let alone look at him, and he was so confused and worried. She kept looking after Danny on her own, but felt lonely every night.

Thursday afternoon, Lio was on her way to potions when she saw the slytherin girl again. She was laughing with her friends.
"He's such an idiot! I mean, to make up something like that! Harry Potter is so gross!" She laughed. "And honestly, he isn't as kind as everyone says he is. He's pretty self centered" Her friends laughed with her, and Lio stared. The girl turned around.
   "Who're you?"
"I'm Harry's friend. Or at least, I used to be.." she muttered the last part. "Don't talk about him like that." The girl smirked.
"Aww, he dumped you, didn't he? I told you, he's a fucking coward." Lio punched her right across the face.
The girl looked stunned, before punchin back. Lio lost it and pinned her to the ground, punching her over and over until someone pulled her away. She was carried kicking and screaming to the infirmary, where Fred put her down on a hospital bed.
"Ok, ok, calm down. I get it, she insulted Harry." He held her hands down so she couldn't hit him as she struggled. "Just breathe with me, c'mon, like this. In" he took a deep breath in and she copied him.      "And out" "in" "and out" "in" "and out. There you go" he let go of her hands and she lay still, panting. He held her hand and called Madam Pomfrey over.
"Hey Madam Pomfrey, another student will be coming in soon. A slytherin girl. Could you please put her in a separate room or something? I guarantee another fight will break out if they're too close" she rolled her eyes.
"Do I look like I have many different infirmaries?" She huffed and walked away.
Lio lay there, staring at the ceiling.
"I will end her." She said frankly. Fred sighed.
"Ok, hold on a minute. I'll be back" He left the room and she was left with the sound of her heartbeat beating in her ears. He came back and sat down.
"I have to go to my class soon, but I made sure she won't come in here, ok? No need to worry. Draco also has a class and so does Luna, so I don't know who to find. Anyone you know have a free period now?"
Lio shook her head.
"I'll be ok on my own. Thanks Freddie" she smiled at him and he grinned.
"I'll be back after class. Don't go around getting more black eyes while I'm gone!" He waved and left the room.
A few minutes later, the door opened again. Lio looked up and saw the person she wanted to see the most (tho she would never admit it). Harry rushed over to her and sat on the bed.
"Li! Are you ok? What happened?! Oh, your eye!" He stressed, stroking the cheek under her bruised eye softly.
"Nothing, it's fine." She said, trying to stay calm and collected. But he wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Tell me what's wrong Li! You've been avoiding me all week and now this?! What happened?! Please tell me, please." He lowered his voice anxiously and she sighed.
"She called you.. self centered. And a coward, and an idiot." She whispered, looking down. Harry's heart melted.
"You- you got into a fight to defend me?" He stared at her.
She shrugged. "Well.. yeah. I mean, I know I'm not your girlfriend or anything, and when I saw you with that girl it was obvious you have feelings for her, but I couldn't let her talk about you like that.." she said softly, refusing to make eye contact. Harry stared at her, confused.
"What girl? I don't have feelings for anyone that isn't y- I mean, who are you talking about?" Lio looked up at him.
"The girl from the party. The girl you were letting stroke your arm and ruffle your hair?" Harry's eyes widened and he grabbed her hands, leaning closer.
"What?! No! She was really touchy but I didn't want to talk to her at all! I was trying to find you, and then she slid into my path and wouldn't let me go for ages! What happened to you that night? I thought I'd lost you!" Lio stared at him.
"I was.. drunk, I think. I don't remember much after seeing you with her. So.. you don't like her?"
"No, of course I don't! I'll make a note to be more firm when a girl comes onto me if it makes you feel uncomfortable" he looked into her eyes worriedly and she blushed.
"Oh.." lost for words, she looked down at her lap. He watched her, before softly tucking her hair behind her ear to examine her eye.
"It's ok, really. See? It's not even bruised." She gingerly touched it with her finger, but winced. He frowned.
"It'll only show up after a few hours, so for now you should stay here."
"But I have classes! I can't stay here just because of a tiny injury!"
He held her hands gently.
"Yes, you can. And you will." He said firmly. "I need to make sure you're ok. Plus, you won't be able to write with this" He held up her right hand, showing her sore and bloody knuckles, and she sighed in defeat.
"Fine.. ugh, I can't believe I let her get to me! I'm going to be so behind!"
"Hey, don't worry about it! Adrien has defence against the dark arts with you, right? And even though he's not amazing at notetaking, you know he'll try his best for you. And Hermione has Ancient Runes too, so you know you'll have good notes from that. And I have two whole free periods, so I'll stay here with you to pass the time and keep you company."
She watched him ramble lovingly, her heart melting at how much he had thought everything through, just for her.
