☆hellos goodbyes and christmas☆

   On the 24th of December, a sunday, Lio eagerly waited with Harry and the Weasleys at the train station for the Hogwarts Express. Hermione had gone home early for the holidays, and Blaise was coming back on the same train that the others would leave on.
This meant that Lio had to say hello and goodbye all at once today, which she wasn't sure how to feel about. But at least it meant that she'd have Blaise to console her when everyone else left. Danny had to say goodbye in the castle, because Hermione had constantly reminded Lio of how dangerous train fumes are for children, and how many people could hurt Danny, and how sad it would be for him, and so on and so on.
The train soon rolled into the station, Lio bouncing up and down on her toes with both anxiety and excitement. It screeched to a halt and Blaise stepped out of the train.
He immediately put his luggage down so he could catch the excited Lio charging towards him, and she jumped into his arms. He hugged her and twirled her around, her face in his shoulder. When they pulled away, she jumped up and down on her toes again. He laughed as the Weasleys and Harry started getting their luggage onto the train, turning her towards them.
   "There'll be plenty of time to say a proper hi to me later, but everyone else is leaving now!" He chuckled, watching as she ran over to the others.
She hugged Ron, and Ginny, and Fred (who picked her up off the ground so she'd be tall enough to hug him), and George, and gave Percy a weird handshake. They all got on the train and then she turned to Harry.
He rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, but she just wrapped her arms around his neck and breathed in deeply. He brought his arms hesitantly around her waist before squeezing tight.
   "Write?" She mumbled into his cloak hopefully. He smiled and rubbed her back.
   "Every day." He whispered in her ear.
She pulled back slowly.
   "Ok. Now leave before I don't let you" she kissed his cheek and he got on the train, just in time for neither of them to see each others blushing faces.
She waved the train goodbye, and then Blaise hugged her comfortingly from behind. He kissed the top of her head and they walked back to the castle with their arms linked.

The next day, christmas, was spent with a lot of joy. Lio woke up and immediately got out of bed, getting out some parchment and a quill and writing to Harry and the Weasleys.
After that, she went straight to the great hall for breakfast with Danny, where she, for once, sat at the ravenclaw table. But just for a little bit. Luna and her waited at their respective tables for the presents, and then ran over to the slytherin table, where the gang was. The three of them sat down, Lio between Draco and Blaise with Danny in her lap, and Luna on the other side in between Pansy and Adrian.
Together they opened all their presents, from family and each other. One of them was matching jumpers for Ginny and Pansy, Blaise and Adrian, Theo and Mattheo, Luna and Astoria, and Draco and Lio. They put them on happily, Pansy was a bit sad that Ginny wasn't there, but cheered up when she saw Mattheo and Theo complaining that they only got them together because their names are similar. Luna, the maker of the jumpers, nodded.
   "Of course. I was running out of pairs" she smiled her silvery smile and Astoria grinned at her from next to Draco, waving her wand and making a berry crown appear on Luna's head.
All of the jumpers said different things. Pansy's said 'Someone' and Ginny's said 'Someone's problem'. Blaise's said 'Where I go, trouble follows' and Adrian's said 'trouble'. Mattheo's said 'I'm with stupid' and Theo's said 'guess I'm stupid'. Luna's was a moon and Astoria's was a sun. Draco's said 'I'm Draco' and Lio's said 'If lost return to Draco'.
   "Why are all of ours so funny and yours is just pretty?" Pansy laughed, pointing at Luna. She just smiled mischievously and shook her head. "I don't know, I just designed whatever I felt suited you all" everyone laughed at her sudden boldness and she gave Danny his one. It was a yellow stars, the opposite colors of Lio's favourite jumper, which was Yellow with orange stars. He giggled happily and Lio helped him put it on, Draco hugging Lio's side. She turned to him, gasping.
   "You're hugging me!!" She said happily. He grimaced. "Just for today, you can hug me, because it's christmas." He said grumpily, and she beamed, making him regret his decisions.
   "I'm going to hug you alllll day!" She smirked, wrapping his arms around her shoulders.
They spent the rest of the day celebrating with snowball fights (Theo and Mattheo won, deciding they were actually meant to be a duo), lots of unusual hugs (Lio basked in these, she was so happy to cuddle with everyone), and the christmas feast, with lots of delicious food all set out on the table just for the gang, as they were the only ones staying at hogwarts for the holidays.
When it was curfew, Lio went to the owlery and received Harry's letter, together with a little box and a note. The box contained a sun bracelet, which glowed with a golden light in the dark, and the note said 'merry christmas, this reminded me of you. -Harry'
She blushed and smiled giddily, putting it on and admiring it. As she did so, Draco came up behind her and surprised her.
   "C'mon, we're all going to sleep in the astronomy tower tonight!" He grinned, grabbing her arm and pulling her towards it.
At the top, there were mattresses and heaps of blankets and pillows and cushions. There was a heating spell surrounding them, so the whole place had a cosy feel, and Danny was in the middle, loving all the attention. She sat down with everyone and they told stories and played games, before going to sleep side by side under the stars.
