"THE HELL?" A sleepy Lay mumbled when her phone rung, an unknown number flashing across the screen. It was 1am and she had a flight to catch in a couple of hours, so she was confused as to who was calling her.
She sighed before answering the call, putting it on speaker because she didn't even feel like holding the phone up.
"You have a collect call from- Judah, Please dial one to accept-
Lay dialed the number with speed, now feeling completely awake.
"Judah, why the fuck are you calling me from
jail? What happened?""I'm sorry ma, I got caught up. You prolly' gon' have to catch the flight without me but I'a get there as soon as I can," Judah told her causing her heart to drop.
Her eyes couldn't help but water, her birthday trip was already getting off to a bad start, and she hadn't even made it there yet.
Judah was the main person that she wanted to be there, and he was going to miss it.
"C'mon mama, don't cry, I'a get there when I can, I swear," Judah told her when he heard her sniffles, he hated that she was crying and the fact that he was the reason for it made him feel worse.
"I'm running out of time, but uh, don't miss yo' flight, and quit crying, you too pretty to be poutin'" He told her causing even more tears to fall, she couldn't believe it.
"I love you mama,"
"I love you too..." She replied before the automated voice ended the call.
Lay sighed before tossing her phone across the bed, she had a feeling that this trip wasn't going to go as she planned.
"Where ole' boy at?" Zion asked his little sister as she sulked in her seat, waiting for everyone else to board the private jet.
"He's not coming," Lay mumbled as Zion sat down beside her.
Honestly, her entire mood was ruined. She had everything planned out perfectly and her plan was already failing.
Because the man she loved wasn't there. She knew what his line of work came with, but she was still upset about the situation.
The fact that everyone else that was invited would
be booed up while she was sitting there alone was making things worse."Whatchu' mean he ain't coming?"
"He couldn't make it, he's in jail," The girl explained, leaning her head on the window.
Zion's eyes widened, he finally found out why his sister was sulking around instead of being her usual, joyous self.
"He said he'll try to get here as soon as he can, but I know he's not coming,"
"Shit could change Lay, you never know. I know shit ain't happening the way you planned it to, but you gotta' stop sulking around, then you really ain't gon' enjoy your birthday," Zion told her, she just sighed before nodding.
"I might have some folks' that could help him too, just cheer up Lay,"
"Okay Z...I'll try," She smiled a bit.
"Plus my gift I got you is the best gift yo' bald headed ass ever gon' receive, 'ion need you to be depressed when I give it to you," He said after mushing her head causing her to suck her teeth.
"Why I gotta' be bald headed though?"
"Y'all ain't even telling me what y'all holding me for," Judah said as two officers walked him to another room, the metal handcuffs sitting tightly around his wrist.
"Just shut the fuck up, don't worry about it," The first officer said causing him to jerk his head back.
"Nigga you shut fuck up, Ian' got no reason to be here, y'all niggas can't lock me up over suspicion, and yo' ole funky ass know that shit,"
"What y'all gon put me infront of the judge fa?" He asked, the officers remained quiet.
"Exactly, y'all stupid as shit, ain't plan shit out obviously," Judah said but the guards remained silent.
They were so lucky he was in those handcuffs and that there were cameras everywhere, because the way he would've did them would have surely had him sent to prison, for life.
The guards were tired of Judah's rants, so one came up behind him, hitting him in the head roughly with the butt of his gun, knocking him out smoothly.
this is so shortttt, might do a double today
thoughts?
y'all think it's gonna get worse or nah?
