As Tiffany made her way to her seat, a pair of observant eyes watched her. The pair that was as brown as her eyes, and as blurry as her sight.
She sank to her seat and avoided eye contact with anyone. The teacher didn't seem to care about her late appearance. It's never rare to be late on thd first day.
"Ok so I will re-introduce myself since there's a late comer. I am professor Santi Castro, you can call me professor Saca." The professor looked directly at Tiff.
I could say, it made her sTiff... Ok nevermind back to the story.
She managed an internal eyeroll without looking annoyed. When someone who doesn't know her would look at her resting face, they might think of her as a bitchy girl.
A few subjects after, the class met a straightforward teacher who's as straightforward as a person who would make groupings on the first day. And that's exactly what she did.
She grouped them into 6 groups. With 5 members each group. She ended up being the leader of a group that's just waaaay too quiet.
Why should I be the leader?!
She hates responsibility but it's ok with her so she accepted her inevitable position.
She was surrounded by one girl at her left and the rest of the half circle are boys. And that is just really shitty.
"Uhm, hi. Ok, so who wants to bring the first item?" She asked bravely yet was repaid by awkward stares.
One looked like he was going to stare at her soul and melt her mortal body.
Another one looked like he had no clue about anything.
The next one just smiled at her like he had smiled at her entrance.
This guy was the person she noticed most. She looked at him, his brown eyes just like hers. She felt like she was looking into a mirror, a genderbend mirror. With that said, she reflected his smile like a mirror would.
When she realized this, she looked away and everyonr was smirking at her like "Ooh, gurl I see what ya did there". She laughed and everyone else followed, not knowing why.
She went on to her leader work and finally knew the names of her members. She got along best with a girl (of course) named Iyanna. Once the assigning ended, the group went quiet.
Ugh, again? We were fine a while ago.
The professor told them to go back to their seats, but before she fully stood, the guy who smiled at her grabbed her forearm, making her lean in an awkward position.
"Huh??" Tiff questioned.
"You left this." He, namely Leidon, handed over her phone with his free hand.
"O-oh, thanks." She took the phone after patting on her pocket to see if it's really there, stupid move though .
Author!! Seriously?
(AHAHAHAHAA sorry ✌ go on)
He shot that smile again at Tiff before heading to their seats.
Though the day didn't start very well, she had a small smile on her face. A mark left by an act of friendliness.
