Dun dun. Dun dun. The ominous drumbeat of lasers fired at the steel walls of the room Rose and the Doctor were trapped in. Daleks surrounded them, and they had already taken Earth and killed the population. Everyone was dead, except Rose and the Doctor. The TARDIS had been demolished by one of their ships. All hope was gone. The one last thing he couldn't fix. "Sing for me," Rose whispered. She slowly slid her arm around his waist. He clung to her as they slow danced at the end of the world. He softly sang to her, an old tune that she loved. They sang together.
You are my sunshine
The Doctor always managed to shine in the darkest of places. Almost always.
Rose lit up every dark moment he'd ever had in her contagious light.
My only sunshine
There was only one Doctor for Rose.
There was only one Rose for the Doctor.
You make me happy
Just his smile would light up her whole day.
Just her laugh would lift his heart.
When skies are gray
Even now, she could die with her love.
He couldn't have chosen a better way to die.
You'll never know, dear
It had taken Doomsday to get it out.
It had taken so, so long to tell her.
How much I love you
He was her world. She loved him more than she could ever say.
He loved her so much it made his heart ache.
Please don't take
She couldn't bear life without him.
He couldn't imagine life without Rose Tyler.
My sunshine
She loved him so, so much.
He loved her so, so much.
Away.
The daleks burst through the defenses.
"EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" Their lifeless bodies crumpled to the floor, hands together, an unspoken 'I love you' on their lips.
