Christopher stepped off the plane at Charles de Gaulle airport, 23 km (about 14.29 mi) from Paris, and was in awe of the wonders that he had waited so long to see.
"Man, this is awesome," he said as he walked slowly, and took everything in. He took a taxi to Paris and had enough money to rent a small studio near the Louvre. He wanted to be as close as possible to the world's splendid art. After he unpacked, he gathered his art supplies and headed out of his building. He set up his things on the sidewalk and began to paint and draw, he would sell them for a few Euros.
He wrote to Abby often and called her occasionally. He told her of the things he had learned and the people that loved his art. She was happy for him, but he could not feel her happiness. He told her that he was not coming back home yet, that there was too much for him to learn here. She cried and told him that she loved him. He promised to write and call, and that he would come back as soon as he could. A few weeks later a well-known art dealer bought one of Christopher's paintings and saw potential in him.
He met with Christopher and decided to fund this young artist, which jumpstarted Christopher's career and made him famous as well as wealthy. Within six months of meeting his benefactor, he became well-known, and everyone started to buy his paintings, which resulted in his bank account growing rapidly.
Eventually, he became so rich that he bought a huge house in the most luxurious part of Paris. He opened his art gallery, called Prax & Smith Art Gallery, featuring his paintings, which mostly featured two people who looked very similar to himself and Abby, and became the richest artist in all of Paris. Now and then others would see him stare out the windows of the gallery, his mind on about the past and the best friend he left behind.

During Christopher's fortunes in Paris, Abby went through her training to become a Ghost Hunter. She joined a team called NorCal Supernatural League, and spent two years as a ghost hunter, before leaving and establishing her team. They consisted of Susan Shiloh, a well-known psychic, Mikah Bishop, a Demonologist, Michelle Stewart, Tech Support, and Erik Stevenson, a Videographer. She met them during many of her ghost-hunting expeditions and followed her beliefs that they were not alone.
She trusted them and they trusted her. She also had a connection with Susan, for Abby found that she had a sixth sense. Susan explained to her that she had always had the door to the other world within her, but it took her parent's death to open it, and that is why she saw the spirit that night in the cemetery. With Susan, Abby learned to control her gift, use it to her advantage, and hone her skill, turning into a Ghost Whisper, to help lost spirits to leave this world and move on.
