(A/n: I didn't know what to write this week, so I went through a list of prompts. If you want to imagine what the apartment looks like, imagine the abandoned apartment from Sally Face. Enjoy this hopeless romantic fantasy. )

It's just too much sometimes, that's why I went to my 'sanctuary' that day. The wind nips at me as I walk up the fire escape, above my apartment, to an abandoned unit. Apparently, this specific unit was deemed a loss after a hero battle in the floor above. So the owner of the place just left it to rot, much of the late tenant's furniture still in the room. So, it makes for a great hideaway from the stress of the world. I doubt I'm the only one who knows about it, but I've never seen anyone else in there, so I like to think it's mine.

Yep, it's still unlocked! Lucky me. I slipped inside, only to reveal someone that I'd never seen before. She was sitting on the old couch, a notebook in her hands.

She had blonde hair that was shaved on one side, the other side faded into a bubblegum pink, and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a navy blue jacket over a black tank top and cargo pants. Chunky, gray headphones covered her ears. She was beautiful.

Upon seeing me, she promptly jumped up in a similar manner to an acrobat. "Who are you?" My eyes widened. "I- I'm Y/n! Sorry if I interrupted you here!" I exclaimed.

"Gwen." She replied, noticeably dropping her guard. "I didn't know that other people came here too. Although I was wondering who decorated this place. Great taste, by the way." Gwen told me, a smirk on her face.

I nodded, still in shock, that she was interested in talking to me. Gwen was totally stunning. She awkwardly patted the couch cushion next to her, to which I obliged.

It turns out that the two of us had a lot in common, both playing instruments, listening to the same music, and the same shows. Gwen and I were in shock because of this. We went to separate schools, though, which was probably why we'd never met before. But with how close we lived to each other and our shared interests, it was truly a wonder that we hadn't met sooner.

Over the next few years, we got closer. Fixing up the small apartment to be our secret hideaway. Soon enough, it now met all safely requirements. Eventually saving up to buy the apartment when we turned 18.

Sure, it wasn't always easy, especially with Gwen revealing herself as Ghost Spider. Often, coming home battered and bruised. But the two of us stuck it out. After many, many long years, I finally confessed to her, and we started to date.

"... And that leads us back to the present." I said into the microphone, the awkwardness still existing my voice. The sea softly crashes into the sand in the background. Gwen stared into my eyes, tears threatening to fall from her gorgeous eyes.

The rest of this ceremony was a blur for me until I heard the priest say the words I'd been silently hoping for all these years. "... you may now kiss the bride." Instinctively, I pulled her closer and did just that. Happiness was radiating off both of us.

"I don't think I'm ever gonna let you leave."
