Theon walked through the corridors of the castle, to his rooms. He and (Y/n) had talked.........well, he had talked, and (Y/n) had listened; smiling as she always would when he would come to see her. The kraken always surprised by the calming effect that the wetnurse had on him. How he could be angry at the world, but then sit with (Y/n) and feel all that annoyance vanish in an instance. Though he knew that it wasn't just him, for even though she was Rickon's nurse, the beautiful woman would also help with Bran, Arya, and even care for Sansa at times. All of the wolves seeming to care a great deal about the wetnurse.

"I've been looking for you............." Someone said. Theon turning to see a smiling Robb make his way over to him.

"Where've you been...............?"

"Nowhere. I was...........I just went out for a walk." Theon replied. Hoping that the oldest son of the Warden of the North, would just leave it at that. Though given that his smile had just got broader, the kraken doubted it.

"A walk? That walk wouldn't have taken you to Rickon's room, would it......?" Robb chuckling to himself, as Theon just turned and continued on his way. The young wolf shaking his head before quickly catching up with his friend.

"You know, there is nothing wrong with liking (Y/n). She's a beautiful girl and so good with Rickon and the others. A man could do worse than have a woman like that by his side. She would make a fine wife............"

"Wife............?" Theon said, as he stopped in his tracks and stared at Robb.

"I am a prince of the Iron Islands, and she is nothing but a wetnurse. A woman that freely gave herself to a man and bore him a bastard; she is no better than a whore.............."

"Theon!" Robb interrupted, quite taken aback by what his friend was saying.

"You know that isn't true. You know what happened to (Y/n). You are well aware that her village was raided by band of robbers that burned her home to the ground and did what they wanted to her. You know the child that she had to bear, died not long after it came into this world. How can you say such things; be so cruel. She has been nothing but good to you, to all of us since she has been in my family's service, and yet you speak of her like she was nothing......" The young wolf continued, annoyed that Theon would talk in such a way about a girl that had never done anything wrong.

"I don't need her to be good to me. I don't care what she does, and I am certainly not interested in her. There are women just like her in every village, she is nothing special. In fact, if I was desperate enough to fuck her, I would do it so that she was on her stomach, so that I didn't have to see her face........."

"Good evening, Lord Robb." A voice suddenly came, interrupting Theon's vile rant. The kraken and Robb turning to see (Y/n) looking at them.

"(Y/n)........." Robb said, as he stepped forward, looking between the wetnurse and his friend.

"Theon didn't.............." The young wolf continued, sure that the poor girl had heard every one of venom dipped words that his friend had spoken. Though if she had, she was certainly not letting it show. The simple girl carrying herself with dignity, as she held her head up high.

"I was just going to speak with your mother before the family ate. But perhaps you could save me the trip............Rickon has eaten well and is most likely to sleep until the morning now. So, I will be retiring to my own rooms for the rest of the night. Lady Catelyn asked me to join you for the evening meal, but I find that I am feeling a little unwell. Please, if you will, give her my apologies and let her know that I will have Rickon ready for her to see after you have all broken the fast in the morning." The wetnurse explained. Curtsying respectfully and giving Robb a small smile before she turned and made her way back to her little room. The young wolf looking to Theon and just shaking his head, before leaving him standing in the dark corridor.

                                                      >>-----------------------------------<<

"Perhaps we should have Maestre Luwin go and see her. I do not wish for (Y/n) to be sick around Rickon........." Catelyn said, as she and the rest of the family ate. Robb having passed on the message from the wetnurse. His eyes burning holes into Theon, as the kraken pushed his food around the plate, and had completely been ignoring everything that had been said since they had all sat down.

"I don't think it is anything that could make Rickon sick, mother. I think that it was more that she was just a little tired. I am sure that she will be fine in the morning." Robb explained; avoiding his father's gaze as Ned looked at him and then Theon. The young Ironborn still choosing to play with the food that sat in front of him. The Lord of Winterfell, having a sudden suspicion that his oldest son was right, and that Luwin would not be able to do anything for the wetnurse.

"Robb is right. (Y/n) is a strong girl, but Rickon can be a handful. If she's no better by the morning, then I'll ask Luwin to speak with her." Ned said, giving his wife a reassuring look. Catelyn smiling and nodding, as Robb finally looked at his father, before both of them looked at Theon.

                                                         >>---------------------------------------<<

Why had he said all those things? He hadn't meant any of them. (Y/n) was the best thing that had come into his life since he had become the ward of Ned. She was beautiful, kind, sweet, gentle and brave. She was a woman that had already been through so much, lost so much, and despite that, she had still been able to find a place in her heart for him. And what had he done in return; what had he done with all that kindness, he had thrown all that back in her face as soon as he had felt a little embarrassed. As soon as Robb had pointed out what he had been thinking himself, anyway. It true that any man in his right mind would be happy to have (Y/n) stand with him, to be able to call her, his. Theon not sure what he could do; if there was anything he could say to make up for what the wetnurse must have heard. The kraken knowing that he could not blame her if she never wanted to see or speak to him again. Would not blame her if she turned her back on him. Yet that didn't mean he wouldn't try. It didn't mean that he wouldn't grovel at her feet, if that was what it took.
