"I........what...........you........why..........?" (Y/n) spluttered with uncharacteristic astonishment, as Thoros reluctantly moved his lips from hers. Annoyed that the need to breathe had taken precedence. The female warrior looking at the priest in disbelief, as she did her best to catch her breath. One of his usual smiles pulling at his lips, as his embrace grew just that little tighter; Thoros not wanting to lose this moment, now that he had finally got it. Her body warming him against the cool air of the night.

"Why did you just kiss me.........?" She finally managed to ask, her hands gripping to his shoulders, as the priest's arms stayed around her waist.

"Well, what else is a man ta do when a woman comes out and tells ya she loves ya. A kiss is tha least I can do...........especially as I love you as well........"

"Did I just say that.........?" (Y/n) enquired, not having realised that in the middle of her rant, she had finally confessed her feelings for the Red Priest. That after all this time, she had just blurted everything out, without meaning to. It feeling as thought she had just swallowed a heavy rock, and it now sat in the pit of her stomach. That at any moment, the food that she had eaten earlier, would be making an unwanted reappearance.

She didn't know how she would have preferred to confess her feelings; whenever she had contemplated it, nothing seemed quite right. That, and she thought that Thoros would just laugh at her if she were to say anything. But to just blurt it out when she was shouting at him about not seeing her as a woman; that he didn't think that she might need to be cared about and protected, had never been on her list. Yet given their strange friendship, their oddly different personalities, (Y/n) had to think that it would have always ended up this way. That finally, as now, she would be pushed into saying something, out of sheer annoyance and frustration. The female warrior shaking all those thoughts from her mind, as she suddenly realised that Thoros had said something too.

"Did.......did you just say that you loved me too?" (Y/n) countered, before punching Thoros in the arm as she noticed that his eyes were firmly on her visible cleavage.

"Yes.......I believe I did. And I thought that it would at least mean that I would get to look at your bosom, without being punched..........."

"Oh, so you only said that you loved me, so that you might get a chance to look at my tits without me knocking you on your arse.......is that it........?" (Y/n) huffed, as she pulled away, and turned her back on him. Thoros letting out a sigh, as (Y/n) crossed her arms firmly over her chest.

This was not what he had hoped for when he finally confessed that he thought of her as more than just another member of the Brotherhood. That he thought of her as more than just a friend........that he thought of her most of the time, if truth be told. It obvious that his sense of humour was not what was needed at the moment. The priest sending a little prayer to the Lord of Light, before stepping forward and placing his hand on (Y/n)'s shoulder.

"No. That is not the reason I told you that I love you. I said it because it is the truth............." Thoros began, as he hesitantly turned the female warrior around, so that he could look into her beautiful eyes.

"Before you joined us, I was not a good man. I wasn't even a good priest. My life had been spent drinking, whoring and fighting. In truth, I can't even remember the Siege of Pyke, I was that drunk; all I know is that I was told it was a good scrap. But the Lord of Light saw something in me; in this weak, flawed, imperfect man. Enough to give me a second chance; and through that second chance, I found you. The day that Beric introduced you, is one that I will never forget, because I knew that the Lord had sent you to me. And whether you or anyone else can see it or not, I am a changed man........changed for the better because of you." The priest continued, as he slowly pulled (Y/n) back into his arms.

"You are like no other woman I have ever meet, before; you have brought out feelings in me, emotions that I never thought I would have, and I am completely unworthy of that, of you.......unworthy of just your friendship, let alone anything else. Yet for some reason you have seen fit to see beyond my past, beyond my flaw, and have given me not only a companionship like no other; but also, you have shown me care, kindness and a love that most men could never even dream of. I love you, (Y/n)......." Thoros added. The woods around them going silent as he and (Y/n) just looked at one another. The world, the Brotherhood, the incidence of the night, fading away, as they just stood together. The female warrior knowing that there was nothing she could say, no words that could truly express what she thought of his confession. (Y/n) always one to think that actions spoke louder than words, anyway. Her arms wrapping themselves around his neck, before this time, she took her chance to pull her Red Priest into yet another long kiss.
