Daniel stood at the window of his sprawling office, overlooking the city that held a million stories, including his most cherished and painful one—Alex. years had passed, since he made the hardest decision of his life, propelled by threats that he couldn't stand against at the time. But now, things were different. Daniel was not just a man; he was a force, a name that echoed in the corridors of power, a CEO with a determination forged in pain and loss.

Daniel's perspective:

Thomas, My ever-loyal secretary, entered, breaking the silence. "Sir, we may have a lead on Alex."

My heart skipped. I had spent years building this empire, with a part of mine always searching for Alex, hoping to reclaim the love I was forced to abandon.

"Where?" My voice was a mix of hope and fear.

"In the city hospital. He's been working there," Thomas replied, handing over the details.

Without another word, I grabbed My coat, My heart racing with the possibility of seeing Alex again.

I arrived at the hospital, It felt like my  heart is in my throat. I had imagined this moment a thousand times, rehearsed what I would say, but now all my plans seemed futile. I just wanted to see Alex, to confirm he was real, that he was okay.

I spotted Alex from a distance, and time seemed to stop. There he was, in his hospital gown, glasses perched on his nose, looking every bit the person I remembered and so much more. Alex's laughter, clear and joyful, filled the air as he chatted with a colleague. My heart ached at the sound, a mix of happiness and an indescribable fear of being too late.

As Alex turned, our eyes met. The shock on Alex's face mirrored my turmoil. Eight years had changed us, yet in that instant, I felt the years merge—the pain, the love, everything rushing back.

Jealousy flared within Me as I noticed the easy camaraderie between Alex and his colleague, later introduced as Alan. My world narrowed to Alex, and I couldn't help but unleash the full extent of My  newfound power to learn everything about Alex's life now.

"Thomas, I need everything on him. Friends, family, anyone close to him," I ordered, My voice laced with an urgency that brooked no argument.

"Yes, sir," Thomas acknowledged, understanding the depth of My request.

As I  prepared to leave, I caught Alex's gaze once more, a silent plea for a chance to explain, to reconnect. But Alex turned away, leaving Me with a hollow victory. He had found Alex, yes, but the road to redemption seemed more daunting than any challenge he had ever faced.

This is how I saw him for the first time after years but I couldn't take a step towards him without any prior preparation so I waited.
