gumusservi - (n.) moonlight shining on water
at dawn by the sea
I wait upon your return
still hopeful, still loving
although you left me all that time ago
with only the promise of your coming backonce the sun has set
and turned to stardust
my mountain of hope
is crushed to pebbles
soon to be sand
soon to be lostCome! Come!
I beg the wind to tell you
howling she carries my words
and everything I never saidforcefully she finds me
and she whispers
again, and again, and again
that you're goneso I weep and I cry
salt to salt
a piece of me dies
my heart shatters in the sand
while I scream at the moonmerciless, the tides come
and wash the heart away
that I no longer recognise as minemay we reunite by the light of day
