Saturday
[10:30pm]
"Hey, bunny." Jay says, his eyes glued to Lina's face. She's frozen in place, her reddish-brown eyes wide.
He knew that she didn't want to see him, but he didn't expect this response. Jay notices the way that Sunghoon puts a hand on Lina's waist, asking her something quietly.
"Why didn't you tell us you were coming?" Sunghoon asks again, looking at Jay. The boy shrugs, walking to the table to pour himself more soda. He knew how Soyun was at parties and didn't feel like getting a call when he had already gotten home.
"I wasn't coming but Soyun wouldn't take 'no' for an answer." He says with a sigh, glancing at Lina again. She wasn't looking at him anymore, but her freshly filled glass was already empty. Jay takes that as a sign and puts a hand on Sunghoon's shoulder, standing next to the boy.
"Don't let her drink too much, she has a low tolerance." He says quietly so that only his friend can hear him, patting his shoulder before walking out of the kitchen. Jay steps back into the sitting room, spotting Ria and the others.
"Well, if it isn't the guest of honor." Jake says with a wide grin, slapping a hand down on Jay's shoulder. The boy nods to his friends, taking a drink from his glass.
"Why do I not feel honored?" Jay laughs, no joy in the sound. Sunghoon and Lina appear next to him and Jay is careful not to look at the girl, nodding his head at Ria and Ni-ki.
"He hasn't annoyed you yet?" He asks, smirking at Ni-ki's eyeroll.
"Every day." Ria says with a smirk at her boyfriend, laughing when he wraps an arm around her shoulders.
"Jay! There you are, I was wondering where you wondering off to." Soyun says as her and Hyun approach, Jay noticing the way that his friends tense. He notices Lina downing her entire glass again, letting out a long sigh as he turns to the two new arrivals.
"You found me, let's go stand over there." Jay says, bumping his fist with Jake's before walking away with Soyun and Hyun. As soon as the three of them are out of the room, Jay shoves Hyun. The other boy hits the wall, groaning as he turns back to face Jay.
"What the hell?" Soyun says in a hushed voice, sending a polite smile to the few people around them that look their way.
"Do you not remember what I told you?" Jay says, pointing a finger at Hyun. He scoffs, crossing his arms over his chest.
