Making it Official

Maya's P.O.V

Lucas and I are still at the park. He has calmed down a bit but still not ready to go home. "Hey, do you want to spend the night at my house tonight" I ask him. He nods and I take his hand and we walk to my house. We enter through the front door and I can see his face so much better now. It doesn't look to good between getting in a fight with Josh and his dad. I think he can see me staring because he turns his head and takes his jacket off. What he's wearing does not look comfortable. I walk into my moms room and grab an old pair of Pyjama pants that were my dads. "Here wear these, jeans to bed isn't the most comfortable thing" I say as I throw him the pants. "Thanks, where did you get them?" he ask. "They were my dads" I tell him. Lucas goes into the bathroom and changes into the pants. While he is changing I text my mom telling her that Lucas is spending the night. Then I call Lucas mom and tell her that he is fine and staying the night. She thanks me then we both hang up. I put the phone down and Lucas is standing there. "Why did you call her?" He was really angry. "Lucas she was worried, she wanted to know where you were make sure that you were fine.Okay. i know you are mad right now but I had to do what was right." He didn't say anything and walked into the guest room he was staying in.

I give him 5 minutes before walking in. He was laying on the bed looking at the ceiling. I go and lay down beside him. "Thank you." he whispers so quietly I barely hear him. I don't say anything, we just sit there in silence.

After everything that has happened today I still can't get that kiss out of my head. I turn my head and Lucas is just laying there looking at nothing. "What are you thinking about?" he ask breaking the silence. "Earlier" I tell him. "What part? It was a pretty eventful day" he tries to joke. I give him a small smile. "The part right after you're fight with Josh at my house." He looks over and smiles. "You mean the kiss?" I nod my head. "What did you think about it?" I ask him. "I think I should of done it sooner" he says. We just lay there staring at each other. "So what does that make us then?" I whisper. Lucas grabs me by my waist and pulls me in closer so that our foreheads are just touching. "I don't know about you but I would like to be able to call you my girlfriend" He smiles. I wrap my hands around his neck and kiss him.

We spend the next hour or so talking about things before finally both of us drifted off to sleep.
