One thing you enjoyed about teaching is the feeling it brings you when a student shows you how much they care for you. You've been teaching middle school students for years, watching each student grow and graduate. It was a rewarding moment for you watching them succeed in school. You tried to keep things friendly yet professional. You tried getting along with almost every teacher since all of you worked together. Out of all of the teachers at this school, Mr. Styles was the quiet one. He maintained to himself majority of the time, not really talking to the rest of the staff. This was surprising since he did so well with the students. They loved him dearly. Sometimes, when you took lunch and sat in your classroom, and he was teaching a class, you could hear laughter and cheering coming out of his classroom. He was an English teacher, which most kids detest at this age. You admired the way he taught his students. He was one of the few teachers that truly cared for the well-being of his students.

You've talked to Mr. Styles plenty of times, creating a special friendship. He was definitely attractive making the female teachers swoon and flirt with him. He was tall, had brown curly hair, green eyes, and had tons of tattoos. He was the definition of a good-looking person, which was ironic since he didn't really talk with many of the teachers. For the past week, you've been trying to help the students with keeping up with their schoolwork in order for you not to assign them anything during their holiday break. You hated doing that to them, so you try to do the most you could during class time. A lot of parents appreciated that about you, which made you very happy. You didn't have anything planned for the holidays this year. Your parents were traveling for the holidays which meant you couldn't go to their home. You currently didn't have a boyfriend since he decided to cheat on you a couple months ago. This holiday season you were going to be lonely, which is a bittersweet feeling.

You looked at the clock in your classroom and it read 2:45pm. "Alright class, before the bell rings, I want to let you know that I won't be assigning any homework for you to do during the holiday", an abruption of cheers and claps filled the room. You calmed them down before continuing. " I want you all to have a beautiful holiday and spend as much time with your loved ones ", the bell cuts you off, the students talking amongst each other and gathering their stuff to leave. "Enjoy your holiday and eat a lot!", you say loudly, hoping that they would hear you despite it being loud around you. You stood by the door, watching the students exit the classrooms and filling the halls. The rush of just getting your stuff from your locker and catch the bus to go home overtook the kids. You remember being in their shoes once, the nostalgia hitting you like a ton of bricks. As you looked around the hallway, you caught Mr. Styles gaze. He was also watching the kids scatter out of the school. He then caught your gaze and smiled at you, his dimples on full display. Your stomach fluttered at the gesture, making your cheeks red as you reciprocated his actions. As the sea of students were still crowding the halls, Mr. Styles shimmied his way to your side of the hall, walking up to your classroom door. He then leaned on one of the lockers by your door with his arms crossed.

"Hey there", he said to you, leaning in so you could hear him. "Hey Mr. Styles", you say, walking into your classroom to start tidying up the room before you left. You heard his footsteps follow you inside closing the door behind him so you could hear each other better. He watched as you pushed in the chairs into each desk, deciding that he would help you as well. "How was your last day?", he asks you as he's starting on his row of desks. "I think it went pretty well. They were happy to know that they didn't have homework assigned ", you tell him as you both chuckled, Mr. Styles imagining their reactions. "I bet. I didn't assign them anything too", he says, finishing up with his side of the room. " Anyways, have anything planned for the holidays?", he asks you as he walks over to your desk. You watched his every move as he sat down in your chair. "Uh no, not really. I'll be spending it by myself with a bottle of wine accompanying me ", you say as you sat down on one of the chairs. You watched as his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "No traveling to your family this year?" he asks as he remembered your traveling plans from the previous year. "Nope", you say. "Friends?", he asks. "Traveling", you respond. "Boyfriend?", he asks. Both of your eyes met as he asked that question. "Nope ", you say causing him to sit up from the chair. " Hmm. Well in that case, would you fancy in accompanying me to a dinner?", he asks you, the question taking you by surprise. " No, it's alright, I don't want to intrude in your plans", you say as you get up and walk towards the back of the classroom to get your stuff. You hear him get up too as he followed your movements. "You won't he intruding any plans. I have none too", he reassures as he leans in on one of the desks. "We can be each other's company? no one deserves to spend the holidays by themselves ", he continues to say as you put on your coat.
