"Ok, Kate, what else do you have planned?"
"Simple, nothing, I'm not doing it anymore." Kate said in defeat.
"Kate." Lena groaned.
"What? It has to be perfect, and yet it's not. All I got is Jack and Shit."
Lena sighed, she was sitting on her couch as Kate was pacing in front of her. She had a glass of whiskey in her hand.
"Kate, sweatheart, this date is going to be fine."
"No it won't. I am going to make a fool of myself, Yelena is going to hate me then she's going to break up with me."
Lena took a deep breath.
"Ok, Kate, look at me." Lena said as she got up.
Kate did as she was told, Lena walked up to Kate with her arms crossed.
"You have been freaking out about this date for the past 3 weeks. Now, instead of freaking out, let me help you."
Kate took a deep breath.
"Ok."
"Good. Now, first, what do you plan on wearing?"
"Uh, I was thinking of my black and red suit."
"Good. Wear a tie with that."
"Yes."
"How did you plan on getting there?"
"Uhhhhhhhhh."
Lena sighed.
"I'll have Henry drop you off."
"Thanks mom."
"Now, is there anything else?"
"I was thinking of a Valentine's Day gift, but Yelena doesn't like Valentine's Day. So a gift wouldn't be for the best. But what if she gets me a gift? I can't show up empty handed if she comes with a gift! Boxes of chocolates or bouquets of flowers won't work either!"
"How about a bracelet?"
"Bracelet?"
"Yes, a bracelet. Something simple. What does Yelena like?"
"Me." Kate responded instantly.
Lena face palmed.
"I know that. What else?"
"She likes knives."
"Anything else?"
"Dogs. OH! I know what kind to get her!"
"Great, now what else do you have planned for the date?"
"I'm thinking maybe I walk her home. Holding hands the entire way home. Then a kiss goodnight before heading home myself."
"Good. Will you be alright to walk home by yourself?"
"Yes, mom. It will be more public, no one should be willing to try anything."
"Ok. Actually, my date should be over by then too, I'll just pick you up from Yelena's house."
Kate chuckled, but she knew better than to argue with her mother on this.
"Ok, anything else?"
"Uh, I don't think so."
"Ok then. I think you're good anyways."
"I'm so excited!" Kate squealed.
"I can tell."
"What are you and Kara doing again?"
