It was midnight, and Lake was standing at the center of the carnival with a flashlight in hand. She had a bored expression on her face and she almost fell asleep until a loud thump came
from the stage about 30 minutes later. She jumped to see that a blue bass guitar had fallen over, the Tally Hall robots stood frozen in shock and Lake was nervous for a second. "Okay, before you scream and run. I just wanna say... GO, GUYS, GO!" The red necktie, who you may recognize as Joe Hawley, exclaimed as the other robots ran at her and Lake ran away. While chasing her, Andrew yelled "Dang it, Zubin! I thought we told you to remind the noon shifter to put up your bass!" The robot with the blue necktie, Zubin, then yelled back "I thought he would get the message! I'm sorry!" Then Rob jumped in on the argument. "How about the both of you quiet down and try to get the night shifter?" Lake then stopped and so did the robots chasing her. An awkward silence took over the carnival for a second then Lake pointed her finger at them. "HA! I KNEW THIS WAS LIKE FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S!" The Tally Bots looked at her questioningly. "Ugh, what is it with people not knowing the game?!" She yelled with
disappointment as everyone continued the chasing game of cat and mouse. It was going on for a few minutes until Joe stepped out right in front of her.
He gave out a very intimidating look and Lake was even more nervous than she should be. "Why are you here?" Joe asked harshly. "I should say the same to you, I mean faking your death to dress up as robots. Those costumes are so high quality, you should go to Comic Con!" Lake joked. "Thank y- I mean, HEY! OUR DEATH WAS NOT FAKE AND THESE ARE NOT COSTU-" Joe got interrupted by Zubin. "Technically, they are. I mean we are human and we're inside a thing. Wait, we're dressed as ourselves though..." Ross then gasped. "That's awesome!" He exclaimed. Andrew then joined in to make the conversation even more off-topic than it was. "Okay, but can we talk about the fact that they roasted us? That was kind of a nice burn." Everyone but Joe agreed. "Okay, we got our sillies out! Can we get serious now?" Joe shut everyone up. "Anyways, what are you doing here? They never hire anyone for the night shift unless it's something important." He continued. "I dunno. I just wanted a job besides my best friend already does hard work, so I wanna put forth the effort to help pay bills and rent and all that good stuff." Lake explained, but Joe wasn't budging. "Joe, Come On! She's just trying to help her best friend!" Ross said with some care for the night shifter. Joe then muttered a rude comment and then agreed. "Fine." He just said as he moved out of Lake's way, she walked past them while turning on her phone to check the time. "Great, It's 2:00 am. My first two hours and I've been chased by my favorite band." She said with a hard attitude, not noticing that she was being watched by them. "Wait a minute, we've been chasing and trying to tie up a fan of our band this whole ti-...!" Joe covered up Andrew's mouth.
"YOU TRIED TO WHAT?!" Lake yelled as she turned around. "We thought you were a distraction, so we planned on tying you up!" Ross told them off in a childish manner.
"ROSS!" The other members yelled. "Whoops." He then shrugged. "Alright, I'm turning you into scrap metal!" Joe said while balling up his metallic fist, Zubin stood in Joe's way. "Alright, positive vibes everyone! Night Shifter, We are sorry for the inconvenience.." Zubin looked harshly at the other members. "And we promise we'll try our hardest to get along with you." He then smiled. Lake sighed. "Alright, and you don't have to call me NightShifter... It's not like I'm a superhero or anything." She laughed. "Well, what's your name then?" Rob asked her for a name. "I'm Lake." She smiled. The Tally Hall crew was in shock. "Wait, Wait, Wait! You were that kid with the cool guitar that we found in the audience and we asked you to play with us during a concert!" Andrew exclaimed as the other members squinted their eyes. "Yep, I see it now. I had you play along with my parts." Joe said softly. "That's so cool!" Ross smiled a big smile.
"You guys remember me? I was like 7 years old, that was like in 2007! How do you guys still remember me?" Lake asked in confusion. "I dunno, we just do. Guess that's a perk of technology, I mean there's such a thing as cloud space." Rob shrugged. 3:00 am, the time kept on passing by and Lake was just sitting on the stage spending time with the Tally Hall robots and becoming a little closer to them. She watched as they practiced for tomorrow's performances; They were gonna perform "Ruler of Everything," "Two Wuv," and " You and Me." She nodded her head to the lyrics of the songs and tapped her fingers to the beat, smiling at how happy they were with playing their instruments. She honestly wondered if having a job would be like this forever, just nothing but chill vibes and some songs from her favorite band.

4:00 am, Lake and the rest of Tally Hall were in the arcade area of the carnival playing a match of Dance Dance Revolution. The song they were playing was Two Faced Lovers by Hatsune Miku and they were in the Hard Mode difficulty. Zubin and Andrew were cheering on Lake, while Joe and Rob were cheering for Ross. She laughed at the amount of fun she was having, going against a member of Tally Hall in a rhythm game and winning too. The match ended with Lake having 499,678 points and Ross having 269,890. "Honestly, I'm more of a drum guy..." Ross says as he walks to the Taiko no Tatsujin game on the right side of the arcade room. Everyone followed him and watched as he aced "Night of Nights" in Extreme Difficulty Mode.

It was now 5:55 am when Lake checked her phone. "Hey, I'm gonna leave early. Call it a night or day or whatever." She smiled a little. "Yeah, we should get back on the stage..." Joe said as the members walked on stage and powered down. Joe followed Lake to the entrance area of the carnival, she grabbed her skateboard and gave him the keys as she closed the door. He locked it. "Hey, you gonna bring your guitar around for the next shift?" He asked. "Probably will, y'know so I won't feel left out whenever you guys practice," Lake replied with a small giggle. Joe laughed. "See ya tomorrow night, new friend." He winked. Lake put down her skateboard and got on it as she pushed forward and exited the parking lot, riding off into the sunrise.
