Chapter 5: Secret Place

Alex’s POV

                         I went back to my room to get my earphones then went back at the tree. I plugged the earphone to my phone and listen to music while reading.

I was reading then a rock hit me in the arm. I looked who throw it to me it was… “Hey! Go down!” Greyson shouted. I took my earphones off my ear, “Why did you throw a rock to me?” I asked him. “Cause you can’t hear me! Go down!” he shouted. I jump out the tree, “Why?” I asked.

“Can I walk you around with you? He asked. “Well,” I paused. “Sure. I’ll just put it back at my room.” I said.

“Yeah. I’ll just wait here.” He said. I ran to my room and put back the book at the bookshelf. I looked for grandma at the kitchen. “Hey, grandma. I’ll just walk around with Greyson for awhile.” I said. “Yeah, sure just be back before lunch, okay?” she said with a teasing tone. “Thanks grandma!” I said.

I went out and saw Greyson walking around. “Hey! C’mon!” I said. “So…” He said.

“Can I show something?” he asked.

“Come!” he shouted while running. “Follow me!” he added.

“Where are we going?” I asked. “Just follow me!” he shouted.

We went to a hidden place, it was BEAUTIFUL! He stared at me with a smile while I was looking at that beautiful place. “What are you staring at?” I asked. “Do I have dirt in my face?” I continued asking while wiping my face. “Nothing.” He said with a soft laugh. “Why did you stare at me?” I asked again. “Nothing. I… I just like your smile.”  He looked at the other direction *bit his lips* “Hahaha!” I laugh. I don’t smile a lot! You’re lucky to see me smile like that!” I said. He smiled a bit. “I guess so.” He said.

“So, why did you bring me where?” I asked.

“You’re the only person I brought here.” He smiled at me.

“It’s my SECRET PLACE. Here, I can have peace in mind. I can think.” He’s smiling while saying it to me.

“I don’t know why I brought you here…” he said.

“You brought me here without any reasons? Hahaha! That’s not true. Everything has a reason you know!” I teased.

“It just pop-up to my mind…” he said softly  

“I don’t believe you…” I giggle softly. He didn’t answer.

Greyson’s POV

                          Yeah, I brought Alex at my SECRET PLACE, though its not secret anymore, ‘cause she already know it.

“So,” “8th grade?” I asked. She looked at me, “Yeah.”

“Can I ask you something’” I said. “You’re already asking me!” she cheered.

“Who’s the first one you met here at Edmond?” I asked. I don’t know why I asked that stupid kind of question.

“Chase Jackson.” She answered softly. The first word that came out of my mouth was just, “Oh.”

“How did you meet?” I asked curiously. “He thought that I’m a trespasser.” “That’s it?” I said. She’s not talking much, so I asked her ‘bout that,

“Why won’t you talk that much?”

“I like being in quiet type.” She answered softly .

I was about to answer when this happened……… “KRINGGGG!!!, KRINGGG!!!!, KRINGGGG!!!, KRINGGG!!!” her phone rang. She answered it, “Hello?” she asked.

“Hey, Alex!” it was Grace.

“Come home now. The will be ready!” she continued while Alex was like doing nothing. “Yeah, yeah.” Alex replied.

“Well,” She said. “Guess I have to go?” she continued.

“Go.” I said softly. “See yah around!” she said while running.

I stayed at the secret place for awhile then went home.

Alex’s POV

                 I went home as fast as I can ‘cause they’re always waiting for me to arrive at home so we can eat. “Ha,ha,ha,” I was panting. “Here drink some water.” John said. “Thanks.” I said.

“So,” Grace said. “How’s you and Greyson?” she asked

“Me and Greyson?!” I said curiously. “We’re just friends.” I said softly.

“Is that so?” Grandma joined the conversation. “Why are you always with him?” grandma asked.

“Well,” I said. “Speechless!” John shouted. “No I’m not!” I shouted to him.

“So answer grandma’s question!” Grace teased.

“He….” I said. “He….” “He what?” Grace interrupt. “Let me finish my sentence!” I laughed.

“Inlove.” Grandma said. I just keep quite and ignore their questions.
