"So, tell me! How are things going with Thad? Is the wedding still happening?" Nori asked with her mouth full of battery.

Uzi's eyes hollowed. "Well, I haven't been talking to him since the masquerade and I thi-"

"Khan! Can you go get me the phone please?" Nori called.

Khan returned with the old classy phone (as Uzi called them and as it was labeled on the wall) and a glass. He placed it on the table before sitting down next to his wife. Nori slid the phone closer to her and held the phone to her visor. She quickly dialed Thad's house number. She tapped her fingers against the table and smiled when someone picked up.

"Hi, would you be a darling and get Thad for me?" she waited for the person to respond. "Do you know when he'll be home?" her heel started to bounce in the air. "Perfect, I'll call this number back by then. Thank you~" and with that, she hung up.

"The hell was that for?" Uzi argued, nearly smacking Doll in the face when she raised her hand.

"I decided that you and Thad would have a little date before next month," Nori said.

Uzi's eyes hollowed. "Next month!?" she shouted. "We agreed we'd wait until-"

"Me and your father agreed that the wedding should happen while I'm home."

"So, if you actually committed to this family then it'd be when it was originally planned to be?!" Uzi pressed. Doll reached out to comfort her before deciding against it.

"You know I work really far away, Uzi," Nori replied.

"Barely anyone's there! It's practically abandoned!"

Nori was going to protest, but her voice box caught itself and fell silent. Uzi pushed her chair out and walked out.

"Uzi! Wait-"

"Let her go," Doll advised, tapping the edge of her plate. "She'll come to you when she's ready."

Uzi grabbed her sweater and beanie, throwing both on herself and leaving. Slamming the door behind her. She didn't know exactly where she was going, however it's not the first time she has walked around aimlessly. They had been informed of a storm, no one knew exactly what kind of storm it was. The leaves on every tree had started to change into beautiful reds and yellows. Uzi suspected it was a snow storm that was approaching.

It was very rare they got snow. The last time it snowed, Uzi thought the world was ending because white stuff was falling from the sky and staying there. Nori and Khan had much to explain for what exactly it was and that it wasn't going to kill her. She smiled at the thought. She was so young back then. She can't even remember how long ago it was.

After some time of walking, Uzi approached a trail in the woods. She looked behind her, trying to figure out just how far away she was from home. She had to squint to see her mansion. Perhaps she should of brought her phone. Nah, she thought. If they cared that much, they would come find me themselves.

She turned back to the trail and put her hands in her pockets. Besides, I'm not that far away from home. She took one step and the wind picked up, blowing her hair in her eyes. Uzi raised her arms to try and block the wind as it blew. The trees slowly swayed to the side, revealing a metallic shining blade near the end of the trail. Uzi lowered her arms and squinted her eyes, trying to figure out what it was. Damn you sun. She thought, walking deeper.

The closer she got, the more welcoming this place seemed. Uzi could feel the change slowly warp her vision.

However, that was quickly interrupted with a shard of metal zipping just past her. She jumped back and shuddered, her breath visible to the air. Someone's here.
