N groaned softly and stretched as he woke up. He rubbed the sleep mode out of his eyes and thought of one word.
Purple.
He wondered for a quick second where he was before remembering. He had stayed the night at Uzi's. N sighed and looked around, Uzi must of woken up earlier than him because she was nowhere to be found.
He kicked the sheets away from him and stood up, making the bed out of habit. He went to open the door before hesitating. He was at Uzi's. He couldn't just walk out and act like everything was fine. Her mother was going to be most likely torturing him once he leaves!
N quickly put his hand in his own and stepped away from the door. The soft taps of his shoes echoed in the confined room. He looked at the door up and down. Tessa had betrayed him. Did he deserve it? He did kill someone. He was with their sworn enemy and didn't help V and Cyn when they needed him.
Maybe this was the right thing to do. Send him away and possibly kill him.
The door suddenly opened and sent N out of his mental spiral. Uzi spun around and slammed the door behind her. Her breath was heavy and she slid her hands down the door.
"Everything oka-" N began before Uzi slammed herself into him and wrapped her arms around him, gripping at the back of his suit. N looked down at her before returning the gesture, letting her take her time to collect her thoughts.
"What's the date?" Uzi asked.
"Uh," N turned towards the calendar that was conveniently on Uzi's desk. "The 15th."
Uzi pulled away from the hug and started pacing. "The 15th, if my mom is planning on going back to work on the 17th that means that you only have two days before you get sent away," her eyes hollowed.
N however stood perfectly still with his hands in front of him, patiently waiting for her to finish. Uzi looked at him up and down and raised an eyebrow. "How are you not freaking out right now!? You are literally about to be sent away from everyone you love and you're so calm about it! How are you so calm!?"
N shrugged. "I don't really know," he admitted. "Everything feels numb."
Uzi's eyes hollowed. "N," she said, allowing her hands to snake up his arms. "Are you okay?"
N smiled, pressing a quick kiss on her forehead. "I'm okay, just a little mixed up at the moment."
Uzi's eyebrows knitted together. "No, N. There's something more. I know there is," she looked up at him. "Plus, you're still a terrible lair."
N smiled and sighed. "Okay, you caught me. What if... What if I did die at Cabin Fever?"
Uzi's eyes widened. "That's not going to happen. I'll make sure of it," she pulled her arms away and clapped her hands. "Now, I'll go grab your food and I'll be right back."
N nodded and Uzi turned around and left. Leaving N alone again. He looked over his shoulder to see Uzi's balcony. The doors were slightly parted and the wind from outside made them blow gracefully in the wind. He fully turned around and walked over to it. He slid his fingers around the golden doorknobs and pulled, the wind crashing into his face. N looked from side to side before walking out.
He stood there in the center for a little bit, debating on whether he should go into the sunlight or not. It was the first bit of sun they'd had in days and it wasn't like it was going to burn him. Yet still, he was hesitant. Why? He didn't really know.
N looked down at his feet and was about to slide it out into the sun when a small hiss was heard from next to him. He flinched back and saw Mrs. Uzi, sitting on the balcony with some sort of gun in her hand. She tapped the tip of the gun and looked up at N. "I must admit. You might be the only cute Elliot. I'll tell Uzi you're a keeper."
