A few months had passed.

Many problems remained unsolved. Tyler had disappeared into the Demon Spire and had never come out. Nora was still in an almost constant coma, interspersed with short periods of consciousness. Mountain of Books, the local sage, had noticed the chaotic state of her aura, just like Pangu.

Although he used the knowledge of this world where Pangu used his unique abilities and the system, both visited Nora daily to try numerous methods in hopes of seeing her recover.

Wenyi and his group hadn't shown much sign of life. Pangu and Dreko were now sharing the same room, in the quarters reserved for inner disciples. Although Wenyi had managed to defeat Pangu in one move before, Pangu thought he could easily defeat him now that he had come to realize and had chosen to fully embrace the magical path.

He trained daily in manipulating Mana and had quickly mastered a physical protection technique called "spiritual wall," which had been recommended by Mountain of Books. It was simply a Qi barrier enveloping his entire body.

Although the High Gods sect had grown significantly in size and infrastructure recently, its status as a country-side sect was still visible through its administration and education level. Many former Taoists had tried to teach there, but few had the skills sufficient to convey their techniques and knowledge understandably.

Pangu and Dreko had tried to join some classes but were surprised by their poor level.

When they needed advice on their progressing, they turned to Professor Merzer. Although he held the title of professor, he did not teach any classes. His intentions were hard to read. But he had taken a liking to the small group of friends. They had agreed never to mention the name of Ilovezyou again. The relationship between Professor Merzer and Ilovezyou was complicated and full if deaths and conflicts.

They could also turn to Mountain Of Books or to the head of the Maids, Klife. Although neither had the status of professor, they were probably the ones with the highest level of knowledge in the entire Sect. There were a lot of students. Merzer hadn't lied when he said they basically accepted anyone.

The ones that intrigued them the most were probably the former students. Strangely, many had advanced cultivation, despite the recent appearance of the Demon Spire, nothing explained such a level of power.

Among them, there was of course Erina, the beautiful mute with still unknown powers. But also Wenyi, who was a brutal physical fighter. They had heard many other names but never had the chance to meet other senior students worth mentioning.
