After spending the night in the storeroom of Lufasu the informant, Pangu and Dreko met Mustang, a devious man willing to do anything for money. He was to be their guide. As soon as he received payment for his services, he abandoned his duties to enter a small tavern on the street corner, with Dreko and Pangu following close behind.
Mustang spoke quietly to the bartender, who served him a beer with a sly smile. Grabbing his drink, Mustang headed to the back room where a woman was waiting for him. Meanwhile, the bartender invited our team to sit at a table. Now of age in this world, they were served fruit juice (if you catch my drift).
With nothing else to do, the bartender sat down with them and began to talk about Mustang, a well-known pervert. His only recognized quality was his unshakeable reliability. He had his ways, but he always completed his missions flawlessly, provided the payment was right.
With a stupid look & smile, Mustang emerged from the back room. After a few moments, his face returned to a neutral expression and he gestured for the two boys to follow him. They walked for a few minutes before arriving at a cobblestone street. Entering an alley, the light almost completely disappeared.

After changing directions several times, the team, led by Mustang, arrived at a dead-end. The guide opened a large sewer entrance, revealing a staircase descending into darkness. Holding hands for safety, Dreko stayed close to Pangu. The complete darkness and prolonged contact made Pangu feel bored, so he used this time to analyze his surroundings. Mustang was just an ordinary mortal, with a faint corruption detectable in his aura.
Pangu, not fond of physical contact except in martial arts combat, had never really touched Dreko before. Yet, he noticed something special about Dreko's aura. Weaker than an average human and showing no progress, it made Pangu wonder if there was a problem. In Asian novels, this was a recurring theme.
As he searched deeper into Dreko's aura, Pangu discovered a new world. It was nothing like his own aura, which resembled the various illustrations he had seen before being transported to this world. He had a Lower Dantian storing most of his energy and an entire chakra network with important points throughout his body. Dreko's energy system functioned differently.
To the untrained eye, the two energy networks might seem generally similar. With ZhouFan's help and his own perception, Pangu understood Dreko's problem: his energy flowed chaotically. After long minutes of studying the flows, he found other major energy centers in Dreko that don't exist in an average human.
Near Dreko's heart was a major energy center, filled with strong Metal-type energy. The rest of his body, predominantly aligned with Wood energy, conflicted with this area. Pangu often heard about the concept of energy types during his private lessons at the mansion. In this world, the dominant energies were Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth. While other types existed, they were less known, as focus was primarily on the "Elemental laws" of these five types. Pangu pondered how to make these energies coexist. Knowing they had to fight at the beggar sect, he understood that an additional ally would be beneficial.
Meanwhile, ZhouFan was flexing his muscles, claiming to be onto an interesting lead. Pangu visualized: Metal was found in the Earth; Wood grew from the Earth and Water; Fire destroyed Wood, but the ashes nourished the Earth. Everything was interconnected and coexisted. How to harmonize these conflicting energies within Dreko's network?
