-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I glare at the two fuck faces in front of me as they grin cheekily. After begging all day yesterday and today they somehow convinced me to go to this stupid little party in two days... That is why I'm now sitting in a shop.

Julie said apparently, I needed something 'flashy', whatever that meant to her and her questionable clothing style. I groaned softly, leaning against Saint who had his arms crossed like a child and full of boredom. Eh, it was his fault. He insisted on coming even after we told him we were going on our weekly shopping day out.

Julie walks back to me and Saint after her little journey across the shop, holding what seems to be a black dress.

"When you said something flashy, I expected something more... colourful?" I say cautiously, Raising an eyebrow only for her to smirk.

"It is flashy! Just in the length way-" I cut her off quickly before she could finish,

"Julie, you know what my mother will think of this... I can't wear anything below knee length!" God, my mother would personally skin me alive if she saw me in a short dress...let alone going to a party!

I see her roll her bright green eyes, a few strands of her black hair escaping from her ponytail, "It's fine! She won't be there, will she? Now have fun and wear the bloody dress cus we're gettin' drunk Friday you little bastards!" She said with her usual high energy levels, smiling ear to ear.

I groan yet again, quietly getting up.

"Ah, don't be such a party pooper princess, I'm sure it will be fun!" I hear Saint say with his teasing tone back in place, "Who knows, maybe a goody two shoes like you will get a kiss."

I let out a huff at his playful comments, flipping him off as I walked and entered the changing rooms. I can almost feel a pair of eyes following my every step... I let out an exhausted sigh as I entered the changing room, a nervous gnawing feeling ripping apart my stomach.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I look cautiously in the mirror at the short black dress, turning slightly. It was as short as my mother's temper and way too revealing...but Julie and Saint are right...! I shouldn't need to worry, this party is for having fun and letting go, I won't let that hag ruin something else in my life.

I walk over confidently to my friends, smiling.

"I think this one's good!"

Julie immediately gets up in a fit of giggles, running to me and grabbing my hands. Me and her shared contagious smiles as she did little bunny hops in her excited state.

"Oh my god Stassie! It suits you so well!" I hear her say happily.

I smiled brightly, joining in on her bunny hops until I caught a grumpy expression on Saint's face.

"Nope," he said, standing up. "What?"
"Too revealing, do you want to attract creeps?" He glares down at me, his eyes especially lingering where my dress hugged my hips tightly. I glare back up at him, giving him the same attitude he's giving me.

"Saint, it's a party, there will be a load of people,"

"People drunk," he added with an edge to his voice, I saw his eyebrows furrow, and his face fill with concern...

God... What am I going to do with him?

"If you're that worried then just stay by me," He'll probably get drunk anyway and leave me alone to hook up with a random chick, which means I won't have someone monitoring my every movement.

I see as his expressions soften and he lets out a short grunt before sitting down, his eyes staring me down.

"Still don't agree, but if you want to be a victim then go ahead."

I glared as he muttered those words before rolling my eyes, "Don't care, getting it now." I say, purely to annoy him and his bratty attitude today. What has gotten into him? I look into his brown eyes which hold a look of frustration

"Wait Stass.. I'm sorry.." I heard him whisper which made me scoff—apologizing so quickly? I don't think so.

I turned away from him, taking confident strides to the cashier and ignoring the distant noise of Saint and Julie talking quietly as I went to buy the dress

If he thinks he can tell me what to do and get away with it he's got another thing coming.
