Jack Frost never received a call from North unless there was an emergency. When the Easter Bunny grabbed him and dragged him down the rabbit hole, he knew it must be bad. When he finally arrived at the North Pole, he wondered what would cause all the Guardians to meet. "Hey everyone. I'm here. Can you guys tell me what this big emergency is? Is Pitch back?" "Not as far as we know," North started. "But another Guardian has been chosen by the Man on Moon. We were waiting on you for before revealing who it is." It had been many years since someone was chosen. Jack knew, as he was the last. "And why was I needed for this," Jack asked. "You are a Guardian, Jack Frost, and you know it," the Tooth Fairy said. North said, "Alright Manny, speak to us. Tell us who the new Guardian is." "What...," Jack started to say but was met with a familiar face that lit up above the crystal in the center of the room. As the shape took form, a woman who Jack recognized from his many visits throughout the years took shape. "No way," Jack said as he walked closer to examine her features. "I know who she is. How did she become... a spirit," he asked. "Even better for you to find out. You know her, you go to her. All is decided. Easter bunny," North said and before Jack could process a tunnel opened beneath his feet.

"It has felt like forever since I was happy," Elsa whispered to herself as she walked through the woods, deep in thought. "I feel like I ended up as the leader of a group of people who can barely stand me." And it was true. Ever since her transformation into the fifth spirit, she had felt as if she was not a bridge, but a burden. The people of the Enchanted Forest liked her enough to make her their leader, but over time, her ice and snow powers weren't very helpful to them. Elsa had learned to tame the elements, but not how to control them. She only knew how to control the ice and snow that she could create from her fingertips. Elsa tried to learn to control different elements over time, but her attempts only tended to end in destruction. She accidentally set fire to a building, ruined a large amount of food when trying to create water from her fingertips to boil something, and caused a small earthquake to form when trying to move a boulder from the ground.

So, instead of taking her frustrations out on her people like she did the first time that she had a meltdown, she decided to take long walks at night to chill out. Usually, she would find a small clearing and use her powers of ice for good there to remind herself that there was a still a purpose to her powers, even if the people of the Enchanted Forest couldn't see it. She had even created herself a beautiful ice palace in the middle of the woods that she would stop at occasionally. She felt something different in the air on this night, though. It could be that winter was just beginning to let the snow fall, but she felt a shift in the air that just didn't feel right to her. Like she wasn't in control of the snow slowly falling along her shoulders. She just had to resolve her gut feeling, but she didn't know how.

Slowly, an hour passed, and then almost two, when she heard laughing in the middle of the woods that she trekked nightly. Nobody ever came this far out after dark, so the laugh chilled her to the core. She knew without a doubt that she should be the only one in the woods this late. Slowly, she made her way to the source of the sound, ready to blast someone with a bolt of ice if they so much as tried to jump out at her or scare her. As she approached a clearing in the trees, she peered out to see a man playing in the snow. No, he wasn't just playing in the snow. He was creating the snow around him. Bolts of snow shot out of a wooden staff he carried. His hair was even whiter than hers, shining brightly under the moonlight. Elsa watched the man, intrigued by someone else who had powers like hers.

After watching him for several moments, she realized something else. The man, with some unknown force, could float up into the sky. After he came to the ground, his back to her, she decided to act, stepping out from the trees, and creating a wall of ice around him. The man startled for a moment before acting, disintegrating the wall of ice, and turning towards Elsa. "Who are you," Elsa said, locking her gaze with that of the unknown man. He couldn't have been past his early twenties from what Elsa could see, probably around her own age. The man swung his staff up before placing it across the tops of his shoulders, holding each end with one hand. "You've finally arrived," he said. "I'm not going to ask again. Who are you," Elsa said, creating a block of snow and hurling it at the man. He moved one hand, and the block broke apart in midair. "Jack Frost. And who would you be, little spitfire," he asked, throwing a little cocky grin her way.

Elsa, a bit taken aback by the man's smug response, said, "I am Elsa, leader of the people of the Enchanted Forest, the fifth elemental spirit and sister of Queen Anna of Arendelle." The man looked at her and said, "And yet you don't know what you truly are." Elsa asked, "And what does that mean?" Jack just smiled and said, "An immortal spirit. A Guardian chosen by the Man on the Moon himself." Elsa looked at him baffled and said, "Immortal spirit? I'm certainly not immortal, nor am I a Guardian or whatever you said." Elsa thought back to her transformation, what had happened to her. "Can people see you," he asked. "Everyone can. Because I am a person." Jack said, "You haven't realized what truly happened to you, so this will make it even worse. Elsa, whatever happened to you recently, you died. You said it yourself; you are a spirit. And you must be one who is truly believed in for people to be able to see you. Most of us aren't seen except by children." Elsa said, "I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. My sister saved me. She brought me back. And who is this us?" Jack could see the vulnerability on her face, "Well, I am Jack Frost. There is also North... you may call him Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and the Sandman." "Those are just stories for children. They aren't real," Elsa said, shaking her head. Jack just responded and said, "And it looks like you have an important job to do now. If you want to come with me, I'll take you to meet them all." Elsa shook her head, turning to run when she heard a voice say, "Don't worry, mate. I've got her." Then, before she could react, the ground fell out from beneath her feet.
