The loud thump of my bags hitting the carpet floor of my new bedroom was the only thing to be heard in this empty house.I had already discovered most of the house which I hated to admit was absolutely beautiful. The upstairs was breathtaking too, but it was my new bedroom which I loved the most.
What had caught my eye was the first wall which was just one giant glass window that let you see out into the ocean. All the other walls were painted white besides the middle wall which was painting a light purple, my favourite colour. A queen size double bed was situated against the purple wall with two white bed side tables on either side. The bed head was white that had detailed studded beading around the border. The sheets were cream and light purple that contrasted nice with the colour of my wall.
Dark purple, light purple and white pillows were placed on my bed as well as a fluffy grey blanket that lay on the end of my bed.
On the wall on right side of the room were two glass sliding doors that lead outside onto a balcony-
Wait balcony?
My eyes grew wide before a squeal escaped my lips.
Not wasting a second, I ran over to the balcony, sliding the glass doors open. Taking a small step onto the platform, my body instantly relaxed. The gentle breeze eased my body from its rigid state as I focused my attention ahead. I sighed at the clear view I had of the stunning ocean in the distance.
Signing in content, I forced myself to go back inside.
Searching my room one last time, on the wall on the left side of my room, I noticed that there was two doors.
I opened the first door which revealed a walk in closet.
I stupidly pinched myself making sure that this was real and not just a good dream.
Skipping happily out of my closet, I skipped over to the other door, curious to know what was behind it.
Opening the door, my jaw dropped in astonishment.
MY OWN BATHROOM?!
I jumped up and down in excitement, taking in the white tiled shower which looked to be very appealing right now.
"Heaven unpack your bags!" I instantly rolled my eyes at my mothers voice.
Realising that I did need to unpack, I walked over to where I had dropped my bags, grasping them in my hands before walking over to my bed.
Dumping my bags onto my bed, I searched through my first bag which had my toiletries, makeup, clothes and shoes.
Walking into my closet, I organised my dresses, undergarments, tops, shorts, skirts, pants and jumpers neatly according to season before I began organising my shoes.
I put my toiletries and makeup away in the cabinet of my bathroom before moving along to the next bag. Flattening out my school bag, I put my new books and school supplies in before placing it at the end of my bed. Getting my phone charger out of my bag, I plugged it into one of the power plugs behind one of my night stands before plugging in my phone.
Last but not least, I unwrapped a pink photo frame which had my photo of me and my dad in it. Putting in on my bedside table that my phone was on.
I smiled at the picture. My heart clenching. I missed him so much.
I put my empty bags away in a spare closet drawer before throwing myself onto my bed.
"Heaven" my mums voice startled me as she knocked on my bedroom door.
"Come in" I grumbled into the blankets.
"Heaven its 8:30 at night if you haven't forgotten tomorrow is Monday which means you have school" she said in a stern voice.
"Right" my voice came out muffled.
"If you haven't finished unpacking you can finish that tomorrow after school but right now I want you to get some sleep, you have to wake up early tomorrow. Goodnight honey, sweet dreams." she quickly blew me a kiss goodnight before closing the door shut behind her.
Not even bothering to put my pjs on, I crawled under the covers, feeling completely drained. It didn't take long for my eye lids to flutter closed before darkness took over.
