"Our killer isn't cutting off the wrong hand or carving the symbol into the wrong part of the body," Agent Spencer says thinking out loud.

"If you have a theory kid, let's hear it," Agent Morgan says, you wasn't into men, you're had one boyfriend back in high school and that was it, however you couldn't deny that Agent Morgan was gorgeous and from the way he had just spoken to Agent Spencer you could tell he was very protective of him, almost like an older brother.

"When talking about the witch-trials 96% of people will go straight to the Salem and the Salem witch-trials, even those witch-trials and witch-hunts took place all over America, those witch-trials wasn't just held here in America, there are also some very famous witch-hunts in England and Scotland, especially in early modern Scotland between the 16th and mid 18th century, judicial proceedings of witchcraft took place as part of a series of witch-trials, an estimated 4,000 to 6,000 people were tried for witchcraft from the Scottish lowland, these trials took place in 1590 to 1661, 75% of the accused were women, within this time period a man by the name of Oliver Cromwell after the civil war and during the commonwealth in 1650s conducted witch-hunts and tortured thousands, where it is said that Oliver Cromwell took the right hand instead of the left before carving the symbol into their foreheads," Agent Spencer gives us information off the top of his head.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the room apart from the members of the FBI team, has their eyes popping out of their head and their jaws on the floor including Grissom who was like a walking textbook.

"You just happened to remember all that off the top of your head?" Greg asked him, Greg Sanders had once been a lab technician, he has recently passed his final test and was now a level 3 CSI.

"He's our boy genius," Agent Morgan says straightening his back as he crosses his arms over his chest.

"More like google with legs," you stated making everyone laugh a little," So Agent Spencer, are you suggesting that our killer is from Scotland?" You asked after everyone had stopped laughing.

"Or who knows English and Scottish history," Cath added from beside me.

"It makes more sense if our killer is from Scotland or England, I mean look at the timelines of the killings, they've mouths apart and all in different states, and all killings take place within a two-week timeframe, suggesting that he stay over for two weeks before leaving again," Agent Hotch says looking over the timeframes that was laid down on the evidence table.

"I will contact my friend in London who works at Interpol," Emily added checking her watch, "Later as she wouldn't appreciate me waking her up as it's 2:30am in London," Emily added and you couldn't help wondering what kind of friendship they had, you remind yourself you were the married one, even though you had asked for a divorce, so it was none of your business, though you couldn't stop thinking about Emily's hand on your knee, the way she slowly moved her hand up your leg, you had told yourself at the time that she was just being friendly, however the more you think about it the less likely it seems.

Emily Prentiss is indeed a stunningly beautiful woman, with her dark locks and brown eyes, her full lips, you felt guilt at the bottom of your stomach, the whole time you have been with Catherine, even before you were married, you had never even looked at another woman, you had met Catherine when Lindsey was only three years old, Lindsey's father wasn't around, so it had been just Catherine, Lindsey and Catherine's mother Lily.

Lily played a big part in helping Catherine raise Lindsey, so that Catherine could work and bring in money to pay the bills, not long after Lindsey's fourth birthday, Lily had been taken ill, and couldn't look after Lindsey as much as she had been doing and Cathrine sister had her own children to care for, plus Cathrine and her sister wasn't really talking at the time, you had some time off work coming up, that you were being forced to take, so since you was being made to take the time off, you had helped Cathrine out by looking after Lindsey for two weeks, in those two weeks Cathrine and you had gotten really close, in those two weeks you had fallen in love with Lindsey, and had offered to babysit her whenever Catherine needed help.

Lily had made a full recovery to everyone's relief and when back to looking after Lindsey, as a thank you Catherine had taken you out for dinner, that had been a fun night, the two of you had kept going out for dinner after that and even done the odd film night after putting Lindsey to bed, you were slowly falling in love with Catherine and had thought she felt the same, until she had ask you over to babysit Lindsey one night because she had a date, you had felt like an idiot, why would a women like Catherine be interested in you?

After you have put Lindsey to bed, you had drove yourself crazy imagining Catherine's date placing his hands all over her, kissing her, going back to his place, and making love, you made a promise to keep your distance from Catherine from now on.

After Catherine had gotten home, you said goodnight and left, not wanting to hear Catherine talk about her date, you had kept your promise to yourself and had managed to keep a safe distance from Catherine, until about three days later, Cathrine had cornered you in the locker room, demanding an explanation as to why you was avoiding her.

To Be Continued:

next Chapter will be a Catherine/Reader flashback, also I did do a little bit of research into the witch-trials in England and Scotland for this chapter, so the dates and name of Oliver Cromwell are real and not made-up, as for the hands being cut off this actually happened in the Bamberg witch-trials before the accused were burned at the stake.
