It was late at afternoon, Jisung wasn't back home yet. Chaeyoung was sitting alone on her messy bedroom with her arms hugging her legs and her face smashed between her knees. She was repeating the exact same words for about half an hour now.
'You have to give me the money... only 4 days'
How could she find 46M won out of nowhere? They didn't even have enough money for Jisung to go and study for his dream job. He was always saving money for it, because to study as a Lawyer the tuition was very expensive.
Wait... Saving? Money?!
Chaeyoung rose up from the bed.
'I have to find the money!'
She got out of her room, immediately went to Jisung's and started searching for the money.
On his desk? Nothing. A small yellow box under his bed? Again nothing. Inside the closet? Wait...
There was a black box with a small piece of paper writing "Savings" on it.
Savings? Chaeyoung took the box out and sat on the floor, her face kinda brightened. She opened it, took out a couple of papers that were on top, and there she was.
25M won for Jisung to go and study as a Lawyer.
She held the money in her hands, "If I take the money, find a part time job and Tzuyu with Dahyun are probably gonna give me some too... I will collect as much as i need right...?" she said quietly to herself.
Chaeyoung looked inside the box one last time, there was a small baggie, without being able to see what was in there she left the money near by and took it to open it. This red baggie had a white-gold bracelet inside with the letters "K.S." on it.
A tear escaped Chaeyoung's eyes... 'K. for Kim and S. for Suhi... Kim Suhi...' she took a deep breath.
There was another item in there as well, a gold ring. A marriage ring. These thing Jisung was supposed to sell them years now after their mom's death, but probably couldn't, that's why they were still in the box. This time she couldn't control her feelings, tears started falling over her eyes rolling on her cheeks. During this hard part of her life, her mom wasn't there. That part when she really needed someone to tell her that she is doing the right thing, someone to hug her like a mom would do.
But she wasn't there.
Chaeyoung brought the bracelet closer to her face, "I'm doing the right thing, right mom?" she whispered and imagined her mother patting her back saying a warm "yes", she looked again to the money and sighed.
