~Samanthas P.O.V~
I stride over to my friends, shoving my hands into my pockets as I did so. I took the swing next to Mindy and started swinging softly, watching Randy walk over and lean on the pole next to her. "You guys want to try some of my mom's new wine? It's the fancy kind, brand new." Mindy poke with a smirk, picking up the bottle as she spoke. Randy took the bottle from her hands and read the bottles label, "Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Private Reserve? Thats a lot of words for some overprice wine, this is 30$. 30 fucking dollars for this??" He questioned, handing it back to Mindy. "Maybe it tastes good, its only bad if it tastes like shit." I said, looking up at Randy from the swings. "Shes right, it's worth a try you know." Mindy inquired, pulling a bottle opener from her bag.
She stabbed it into the cork and pulled it out, making a pop sound. She took a small whiff from the bottle, her eyes widening slightly, she then passed it to randy as he did the same, the bottle then got to me. I raised the bottle to my nose and took a sniff, it smelt amazing, smelling heavily of grapes and other lovely smells. It was like one of those candles you'd find in the candle section of Walmart, the kind of sent that you wish would stay forever. I handed it back to Mindy with a small smile on my face, "That smelt great!", Randy nodded in agreement as Mindys body shook slightly with excitement. "Then it must taste just as good!" she beamed, bringing the bottle to her mouth slowly. She took a sip and sat the bottle on her lap, contemplating whether she liked it or not. "It's not bad-" randy cut her of before she could even finish, "I TOLD you Mindy, it's a damn scam". I took the bottle carefully from her hands and bringing it to my mouth and taking a small sip.
To be honest, it tasted okay, but it was the aftertaste that was bad. It tasted like actual shit. I handed the bottle back to Mindy and shook my head. "Thats bad, your mom was scammed." she frowned a little and but the cork back onto the bottle, shoving it back into her bag. We sat in silence for a moment before Mindy shot up from her spot on the swings, causing us both to look at her in shock. "I know what we should do!" I looked at her puzzled as I stood up, "Like what?" Randy questioned; he seemed just as curious as me.
"Let's go to the woods and summon something!" I immediately shook my head, "Hell no! We can't just summon something; we are not Buffy the vampire slayer! What if it tries to kill us?!" I saw Randy smirk as he opened his mouth and chuckled, "You're such a pussy, Sam", Mindy seemed to giggle as I turned towards him. "I'm not a pussy! It's bad juju, Randy!" "Whatever you say, Sam." Mindy chuckled, pulling her hands up in defense as I turned towards her. I sighed and slipped my hands into my pockets again, "What would you even plan on summoning anyway?" I asked, "Some weird cryptid thing, nothing too bad." Mindy smiled. "It was on the news a couple weeks ago". I sighed again and though for a moment, "I'll think about it, I'll let you know about it tomorrow." Mindy's face beamed and Randy had a smile adorned on his face. "Sweet! Let's meet up here again tomorrow to talk about it!" Randy said, I nodded and walked off, waving goodbye as I did so. Tomorrows going to be fun.
