October

That fall came fast,
All those late nights were a blast,
That October everything changed,
Our love was exchanged.

Now a year has passed,
And of course we didn't last.
So now those warm nights,
Have lost their delights,
As I sit and wonder if that was my end,
If all of it was pretended.

October will never be the same,
Because now it bares your name,
One that used to bring such joy,
The one that destroyed,
My heart it broke in two
That was my fate when I met you.
