What's the thing that hides in the dark?
The thing that haunts her dreams like a shark?
What's the thing that's eating her?
What's the reason she can't go through?
She make plans she can't finish,
Her feelings never diminish.
They're all too strong,
She's been far gone for too long.
Is there really any saving?
For a girl with such engravings.

She wants what she can't find,
Her mind keeps her confined,
There's so much she wants to do,
Yet she knows she can't pursue.
Is there any worth to a redundant life?
For one that craves the knife,
The knife that makes things so numb,
What has she become?
Is there anything left for her?
When there's nothing in her.

A girl who wants the end,
Yet life continues to extend.
In the body of an already dead girl,
Is a soul like a pearl.
One that wishes to be kind and loving,
Yet has to be one that's cruel and always running.
Running from things that might kill,
Things that could end and kill her will.
It's scary how a life can hang on a wire,
One that ends in desire.
Desire to be loved,
Her life ends in blood.
