Reasons to Hate You (Snape X Iris Carrow)

Introduction

FLASHBACK

Iris giggles as she runs away from the Gryffindor common rooms with an empty bottle of Magical Absorption Slime, a product she bought at Zonko's during her time in Hogsmeade. She smiles as she hides behind a large closet, waiting for her victim to step into the mess she made.

"That's great news!" Her victim says with a chirpy voice that annoyed her.

"Yes, I'm so glad," Iris hears the voice of James Potter reply to her, small congratulatory responses follow his comment. A small groan escapes Iris' throat. Gosh, the whole group is there. Then suddenly, a loud bang is heard as Lily Evans steps on the bundle of slime, causing it to pop open and start its magic. Iris can't help but laugh even harder when she sees Lily's distraught face.

Lily looks around, trying to see who has done this. Her eyes gleam with anger when she notices Iris in her Slytherin robes. "Carrow!" She screams, chasing down the girl.

Iris can only help but laugh loudly as she runs away, sneaking out of the common rooms and down the hall. The red-haired girl chases her down, not letting her get away with the cruel trick. Iris looks back to see Lily's livid face. Suddenly, she falls to the ground, bumping into someone. Evans catches up to her but stops instead of jinxing the girl.

"Severus," Lily says, anger but also hurt visible in her voice. "Did you put her up to this?"

"To what?" Iris looks up, noticing that the person she bumped into is the infamous Severus Snape. Infamous for the amount of grease built up in his hair. The man stares down at the girl beneath him and then at his once-best friend. He glimpses at the green blob beneath the red-heads foot. "I didn't." He says calmly.

"He didn't," Iris replies with pride. "I came up with the idea myself. Payback for being such an ass."

"Maybe you shouldn't have been so annoying," James tells Iris, rolling his eyes as he helps Lily with the slime on her.

"Wow, Lily! I didn't know Potter was your prince Charming! Such a lovely couple you guys make!"

"You're so rude," Lily only comments, walking away. Sirus comforts her, whispering something in the redhead's ear that makes her slightly giggle.

"Stay away from her Iris," Potter warns before joining his friends. "And you too, Snivellous."

Snape stares at Lily as she walks down the halls, his face filled with hurt. Then he looks down at the younger girl in disgust. "What did you do?" He questions.

"Nothing too bad," Iris smirks. "It's okay, Snivellous. I'm sure your girlfriend will be fine." She pats him on the back and walks away.

She whistles down the halls until she sees McGonagall and Lily Evans behind her with a scowl. "Carrow," The Professor says. A drip of sweat falls on the girl's face.

"Yes?"

"Lily here tells me you placed a Magical Absorption Slime in the Gryffindor common rooms for her to find. 10 points from Slytherin for the cruel prank. And an additional 5 for sneaking into the common rooms."

McGonagall always picking favorites.
