"But what am I going to do about my nose? Should I apply some concealer?" Peter monologues, lost in his world he never noticed someone coming until he bumped into HIM."What did I bump into? Wall?", Peter thought.
Startled, he looked up, finding himself face to face with a heavenly handsome guy.
He tried to create space between him and the hot stranger.
"Oh, sorry, I didn't- Shit, I'm falling," he mumbled, attempting to regain balance.
Before he could fall down the stairs, a pair of strong hands grabbed him, pulling him closer.
Peter opened his eyes and met with the abyss of piercing grey eyes. The musky scent makes him lose his sanity, arousing a primal longing.
Each inhalation was like a seductive whisper, igniting a fire within him as he subconsciously gripped the arms tighter.
"Fallin' already?" a husky voice chuckled.
Peter Pov
I quickly straightened myself and looked at him. A tall guy with broad shoulders, tousled dark hair, and those captivating grey eyes that held a certain intensity.
A stumble beard complementing his rugged charm, and the air around him carried the alluring musky scent of his cologne.
I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of this man and he knew that, he smirked keeping his eyes at me.
It was hard to tear my gaze away and I was staring.
"Oh, shit, I'm staring at him. I have to look anywhere but him," I thought and managed to thank the handsome stranger with a shy smile.
"Uh, thank you," I stammered, my cheeks warming as I swiftly passed by, feeling a mix of gratitude and curiosity.
"So you are quick to fall and quick to leave kinda guy huh. It hurts you know", the hot guy commented.
"Also, why is your nose so red? Kinda makes you look like a.. rabbit."
Something irked in me. If it was some other day I could have just left without saying but not today. Today, I had already reached my limit.
"No, I'm not like you and keep your comments to yourself! You know what, thanks for saving me, how about you get lost now?" I retorted, turning around to leave.
"Oh feisty bunny. Keep up the attitude and you'll get eaten one day", he teased, descending the stairs quickly.
"What the fuck? Yeah get lost you handsomely stupid.... ugh," I yelled to the empty stairs, frustrated as he disappeared into the thin air.
I sighed hanging on the railing. "That's not even an insult," I mumbled before making my way to my office.
Did I forget something?
Third Person Pov
Entering the office, Peter couldn't shake off the encounter with the mysterious stranger, but the bustling atmosphere of the workplace quickly diverted his thoughts.
The cubicles in the premise were formed as an organized maze with the low hum of productivity filling the air.
Peter saw his manager talking to another team members and quietly made his way to his desk. His workstation was at the end of the row in the corner. It's been 2 years since Peter joined.
Sitting right next to him was Ethan Scott, an easygoing colleague known for his playfulness and charming personality.
As Peter dove into his work, Ethan leaned over.
"Hey, Pete, you didn't do your morning ritual."
He looked at Peter and noticed something, "Wow, you're looking a bit radiant today. New skincare routine?"
Peter chuckled, "Yeah, you know, the glow-up is real."
Ethan squinted, eyeing Peter's nose, "Yeahhh, it seems. So, is that a new trend?"
Peter instinctively went to his nose. "Oh, this little thing? It's a surprise guest, who decided to join this morning."
Ethan grinned, "Well, it's stealing the show. You should name it."
Peter rolled his eyes, "Sure, I'll call it 'Spotlight Stealer."
Soon the office buzzed with the clatter of keyboards and occasional phone calls, creating a lively backdrop for the banter between colleagues.
As the lunchtime chatter faded away, the office became a tranquil oasis with only the sound of the AC and the rhythmic clacking of Peter's keyboard breaking the silence.
The meeting was also postponed in the evening thanks to one of the clients not being available at the time.
Everyone left for lunch except Peter who chose to stay back, determined to conquer the tasks at hand and leave on time today.
He clenched his fist and started working on his tasks one by one.
However, amidst the spreadsheets and deadlines, his thoughts continuously betrayed him.
He tried to shake off but his mind kept wandering back to the morning encounter with the handsome man.
The stranger, playfully calling him a bunny, left an imprint on his thoughts.
"What was that?" Peter remembered the eyes of that man.
Those piercing grey eyes had a certain predator-like gaze that holds a depth that seemed to see beyond the surface, like a wolf assessing its surroundings.
"Well he, himself, looked like a wolf. A wild one at that", he chuckled at his thoughts.
Peter Pov
After half an hour, few people returned to their seats, there was still peace in the room.
Even in the stillness of the office, my mind was anything but silent. The whole day I kept thinking about that stupid guy.
His black leather jacket, his rough look, his piercing gaze, his grip on me.
Oh, how I love the warmth in his touch and his musky cologne makes me crave for him. Even his voice has a deep texture.
He kinda looked like my type if he didn't act so arrogant.
No!
Don't you even dare, Peter. I can't allow this.
I almost yelled at myself for having such embarrassing thinking.
"What you can't allow Peter", I knew this voice.
God why is he here!
I turned around to see the one and only person I absolutely hate, Paul.
Ugh!
