Time to Leave

"Bye hon I'm going to miss you so much!"

"Bye mom I'm going to miss you too, but don't worry I'm only going to be gone for two months."

"That's a long time by yourself Tanya, but your responsible and I trust you."

"ATTENTION THE FLIGHT FROM TORONTO TO LAS ANGELES IS BOARDING NOW!" I kissed my mom one last goodbye and started to board the plane with my best friend Stacey. I couldn't believe my mom was actually letting me go to California alone with my best friend for the Summer. Ever since dad went to France for his 4 month business trip, I've showed lots of responsibility around the house and raised enough money to fly to California. So I guess mom decided I needed a break. When we got there we were going to explore the city together, then We were going to stay with her family for a few weeks in San Diego and then come back to LA and start our very own vacation!

"Hey Tanya, give the lady your boarding pass"

"Oh sorry", I said as I woke up from my daydream and shuffled through my purse for the pass, "here you go."

We were walking onto the plane and I was getting goosebumps because I was so happy...and the plane was cold too. We sat down in our seats and I got the aisle seat while Stacey got the window seat we were kind of in the centre of the place to the left so I could pretty much see everything. It was a huge plane, I'm not sure why since it was an above land flight, not oversea/ international. Anyways I got comfortable and before I knew it, we were up in the air and I was asleep.

The flight was only a few hours and after we landed, Stacey and I headed over to the hotel we booked and decided to unpack and freshen up for dinner.

"Did you see that guy on the plane a few seats ahead of us?" Stacey asked as she was brushing out her long brown hair. Stacey was petite, only about 5, 1 with pale skin and a curvy body. She is beautiful and the total opposite of me. I am 5, 7 with tan skin and medium straight black hair and a more skinnier body.

"Haha ya he was so hot, but looked like he was 23 or something."

"Ya"

As we finished getting ready, unpacking and resting for a bit, we headed down to the hotel restaurant. We were staying at the "Hillcrest Hotel" it was about 3 stars but pretty fancy with wifi, pool and gym. (That's literally all we need)

We walked into the restaurant a lady with red super curly hair lead us to a table by the window with an amazing view of downtown. I loved how there were so many palm trees, we don't have any Canada. As we glanced at the menu Stacey said,

"I was thinking we could go job hunting tomorrow, you know to be able to afford all this."

"Ya sure, I found some offers online before we left." I pulled out a few papers folded up from my purse and showed them to Stacey.

She read them and said "waitress, cashier, kids camp helper.... Stay home nanny?!"

"Well ya I thought that you could go visit your family and I could stay with the family, they provide food, bedroom and money."

"What the hell, no! You can't stay with some random creepy family that you don't even know."

"I think it would be ok, that is if the family is nice and if I actually get the job!"

"Ok well we can figure this out tomorrow and I'm coming with you to the interview" Just as she said that the waiter brought over our meals. "Let's eat"
